Are you being sarcastic? Wow. Sure you don't caste about Nintendo, but you don't have to go around making other people's days worse; the Internet is mourning.

Big deal. The only thing I can see that matters here is I outlived him.

The man helped make alot of people a little happier and now he has died. He is dead, he has left earth and he can not do what he does anymore. His passing has brought great sadness and you make a remark like that? Perhaps you have distanced yourself from the concept of death maybe you have even been desensitized but yet that does not mean you have to make that clear here. Have a little respect.

Meh. James Horner crashed his plane and died a couple weeks ago and not a peep from you. I guess composing the music for half the movies you ever cared to see doesn't rank up there with Mario.

Excuse me, but I have not kept up with things for the past couple of weeks. In reality, the only movie I[\b] remember watching that he composed was Aliens. Like emu, have a little respect for Iwata-san. As a footnote, I am sad to find out that Horner died in a plane crash.

My thoughts exactly.

Sorry I don't live up to your expectations on the "give a shit" meter... but this guy is responsible for millions of people not having any skill with human interaction. Steve Jobs is responsible for the other billion. Now everyone has their face stuck in a phone. Pathetic.

Saying cuss words usually means your IQ is lower. You also seem to have no value for human life. This man did more than you can do in a million lives. Plus, you have your face stuck in a computer playing this game. Hypocrite.

This guy made my childhood happier.

Tho, I agree with Lys on the point about everyone burying THIER faces on the phone...entering elevator..take out the phone, don't have anything else to say other than weather...take out the phone..wake up...take out the phone.

this is technology advancement and its effects on society, I fully support it.

In a few decades, this will be the default for everyone alive on the planet and there will be something else people will complain about in regards to how technology effects society

it's only weird to us, because majority of us grew up in an era where we grew up utilising out time in other less technology assisted activities

Iwata and Nintendo always sought ways to make gaming more social, rather than less. I'll never forget the long MarioKart play sessions with my sister and friends, four-player Smash Brothers bouts in the dorm room, or playing original Super Mario Bros with my Mom. Wii was an extension of that, and many a drunken Wii Bowl session ended in passing out on my friend's couch.

Video gaming can be a more active hobby than movie viewing (one reason I'll take a girl on a date to an arcade before I take her to a movie). But it's tragic that both Iwata and Homer have died.

As for human interaction, I generally use my cell phone when I don't know anybody nearby, or during slow parts of movies and TV shows. I find it actually encourages me to meet up with people, since I loathe empty time spent waiting. If I can fill that time with something engaging, I'm more likely to show up to social invitations.

I never particularly cared much about Nintendo, but the guy knew his trade well and was an important figure for gaming in general. I'm also sorry about Horner of course, but I'm going to be honest and say that I never heard of him before, as I'm not particularly informed about composers.
