MVP(Mod’s Choice)= Master Samus; I think Master Samus played amazingly for a guy who claims it was his second only mafia game. He never led the town on him and that’s why he deserves this award. He was impressive in manipulating the town that led to the ultimate mafia victory.
Player of Mafia; Master Samus/emudevelopment (shared); I think both were instrumental in the town’s defeat. Both were manipulative and deceptive. They clearly came out as pro-town and looked like de-facto town leaders. They led the lynch wagon w/o anyone uncovering their true motives.
Samus, you should be proud that you've helped make an environment where people feel safe enough to share their experiences.
Why so curious Sammy? What did you do this time!

I've visited people in prison. That's a task in and of itself in some places.
Spaztik: Yes, yes, you would be the first pick of the jailhouse ball. LOL
No. I been put in handcuffs twice. Once while my car was searched for no reason, and second for underage drinking/drunk in public when I was in college, but both times let go. Can't say I've even been to jail.

I have an older brother that has spent most of his adult life in prison... all because he was a drug addict. Drug addiction can make you commit all kinds of crime, so his offenses ranged from attempted murder, to forgery. I used to send him money so he would have something special for his birthdays and Christmas. He got out about a year ago, and I heard from him a couple times then because he wanted cash, but I won't give him money when he's out of prison, because he's a drug addict. I have not heard from him since, probably never will, and I won't even know if he dies. I just don't want him around me or my family. He's just bad news.
I hope this helps with your research.

And no guys, i'm not going to jail or anything lol, I was just really curious and wanted to see if I could get a decent conversation going

If there is any truth to that, I pity all the inmates... because it will take about a day or two and Samus would have the entire prison wired, and everyone under his complete control.

Had some friends in prison, even visited a max security women's prison here in California a couple of years ago. I don't have personal experience, but do know a fair amount of second hand knowledge should you be curious about anything in particular
I haven't and hopefully never will be but I have a brother who was in prison for ten years for something I can't remember nor want to. I visited him twice but I don't remember much except for it was my first pat down and I was scared.(I was about 11 years old then).

I spent a month in a young offenders prison between Aug-Sep 2014. I've also spent several weekends in jail waiting for court. While maybe not the type of experience you were meaning, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. I'm also curious as to why you are asking?

Was watching beyond scared straight the other night and curiosity arose.
First question, what country was this and how old were you?
Also would you mind sharing the cause? (if not publicly, pm works too)
PS: Welcome to IRON!

There is a cafe in my city run by prisoners as part of their rehabilitation, which is technically inside the prison buildings. It serves good food, has very friendly staff (all Category D Prisoners, lowest level of security known as "open prison"), and all profits go to victim support charities.
Anyway, if you want some idea about Prison, there are two good blogs I follow.
http://prisonuk.blogspot.co.uk/
This one is written by a guy who had a 4 year sentence and served 2. He doesn't discuss his crime, but just what life in prison was like. It is entirely written after release on the basis of the diaries he kept inside prison. Its a good read, mixing prison experience with railing against the failures of the system to actually rehabilitate, and by extension, to protect the public.
http://prisonerben.blogspot.co.uk/
This one is mostly inactive now, so I would go back to the start (around 2009). It is written by a Child murderer who spent over 30 years in prison, and the guy started blogging on a typewriter, and then posted the material to his editor who would put it online. He is also noteworthy for being the first prisoner in the UK to try writing a Ph.D in prison (he failed as the prison service lost all his papers and notes about halfway through). He has now been released and since then his posts became less interesting as they are more about prison policy than prison life, and make the same points somewhat repetitively. However the early stuff about prison life, and reflecting on his crime is very interesting.
Both have a common theme of regarding prison as an ineffective tool for keeping the public safe, and think that underfunding of the prison system has caused the failure of rehabilitation in prison. These views are reflected in an interesting book called "Out of sight, out of mind," written by John Podmore, former governor of some of the UKs most notorious prisons.
I have an older brother that has spent most of his adult life in prison... all because he was a drug addict. Drug addiction can make you commit all kinds of crime, so his offenses ranged from attempted murder, to forgery. I have not heard from him since, probably never will, and I won't even know if he dies. I just don't want him around me or my family. He's just bad news.
Well that's sad man. I hope he's well. It's sad cuz there is no cure to addiction as most of them bring a conformational change to your brain receptors that can last forever so that's unfortunate. But some rehabilitation programs which focus on social re-integration have been successful as it is believed that isolated people are more affected by addiction than those socially indulging...
Anyways prayers for your brother and for reducing your stress.

My father is a druggie too. Before about a year ago the longest time I had ever seen him around was a month at most, he always found a way to get back into prison. And when I finally met him (I already hated him because my brother always wanted a father) for long enough for him to show his true self, I realized hating him was the right thing to do. He is a racist meth head who uses the word "Jigaboo" in all seriousness. He's the kind of guy who will have a 12 year old throw a grill-methlab in the forest for him. For about 6 months he lazed about on the couch until he did meth again and decided to skip parole, then he stole my moms van, went back to prison for a while, four or five months, and when he got out, my mom took him back. For the past four months we've been harboring a fugitive basically, since he never once went to a parole hearing, then a couple days back one of his methie friends went into someones house while he was high and started calling the woman who lived there a bitch, asking about some type of cables he thought she had, then he hit her 3 times. She called the cops and he barricaded himself in our garage, and said whatever was in the garage belonged to my mom and my POS father. She didn't know what was up there so she told the cops that everything up there was my fathers. Hopefully he stays in the farm with the other animals for a while.
I'm guessing it was probably a lot harder for you since you didn't have the gift of not knowing the person, or ever developing any kind of love or affection for them.
Worst part about it is i'm gonna end up as crazy as his entire family, they all have some sort of mental illness, well I guess it's a kind of inheritance.

Addiction doesn't work exactly like that. If you've ever been to a hospital and gotten an iv-drip of painkillers, it was probably an extremely pure form of heroin. Back in Vietnam everyone was worried the soldiers would come back addicted to morphine, but in the end a vast majority weren't. The way we treat addiction and the addicted definitely needs to change. If you've ever seen the show "Intervention", they all basically say the same thing "I won't love you if you are using". For me, it's not the fact that my father is a methie, its the fact that he decided it was more important to steal and do his drug then try and make a difference in our lives. Kinda glad he decided that though, cause here I am, smart and not racist.
