January 28, 201610 yr comment_825166 Who do you think has it? I'm honestly going with the Broncos to win it and Peyton to retire afterwards Report
January 28, 201610 yr comment_825180 The Panthers are the better overall team right now and are certainly the favorites. However, I would love to see Peyton Manning win his second ring and then retire as a winner. He is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play the game (if not the best). Here are some stats to see how the Broncos and Panthers stacked up in the regular season: Yards From ScrimmageCarolina - 11th - 5871 yardsDenver - 16th - 5688 yards Total Points ScoredCarolina - 1st - 500 - 31.3 PPGDenver - 19th - 355 - 22.2 PPG TurnoversCarolina - 1st - 39 takeaways / 19 giveaways - +20 overallDenver - T19th - 27 takeaways / 31 giveaways - -4 overall Defensive Yards AllowedDenver - 1st - 4530 yardsCarolina - 6th - 5167 yard Points AllowedDenver - 4th - 296 - 18.5 PPGCarolina - 6th - 308 - 19.3 PPG Carolina had the clearly superior offense this year putting up the most total points in the league and 145 more than Denver. Denver was ranked #1 in the league in total team defense, gave up the fewest yards against, and the fourth lowest point total. Carolina's defense was not much worse though and only gave up 0.8 more points per game than Denver. The regular season turnover differential wasn't even close. Carolina was +24 in turnover differential when compared to Denver. In their respective conference championship games: Carolina dominated Arizona from start to finish and turned them over 7 times in the NFC Championship. The Broncos defense (living up to their name) tortured Tom Brady for 60 minutes. He was constantly on the run with pressure in his face and was hit 20 times! The 20 QB hits for the Denver defense was the largest hit total against any QB in the NFL in 2015. Brady was uncomfortable all night and was throwing ducks whenever he was forced from the pocket. Despite Denver's clear defensive superiority in the AFC Championship it will be hard for them to repeat some of those numbers against Cam Newton and the Panthers. Newton is an obviously superior runner than Brady and brings a dimension that the Patriots did not. Newton can make plays on the move. In order for Denver to win this game, they need to pressure Cam while simultaneously keeping him contained in the pocket. If they can't, it will be a long night for the Broncos. Report

February 8, 201610 yr comment_827191 YES! MY BRONCOS ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS! IM VERY HAPPY. THERE ARE ONLY A FEW THINGS THAT CAN MAKE ME HAPPIER. I do feel sorry for my my friend. He's been a Carolina fan before they were good. I loved manning shouting out God at the end also. Report
February 8, 201610 yr comment_827197 In true Broncos fashion their defense dominated from start to finish. I thought that they would have more trouble than they did controlling Cam, but they did a great job. I'm thrilled for Peyton Manning. If this was indeed his last rodeo he gets to go out on top where he belongs. Report
February 8, 201610 yr comment_827340 Worst. Super Bowl. Ever. The highlight was Lady Gaga, went downhill from there. Game sucked. Halftime sucked. Commercials sucked. My wife fell asleep midway through the 3rd quarter. Sucked. Report

My wife fell asleep midway through the 3rd quarter. Sucked. So would you agree that the most consequential outcome of the game is that a bunch a nice folks in 3rd world countries will become Panthers "fans" over the next few weeks? (Didn't watch the game, didn't even know who was in it until reading the outcome.) Report

February 9, 201610 yr Author comment_827479 Was happy to see. I wont say it was the most exciting, or rank up near the top of the best SB I've seen, but it wasn't horrible. Just a defensive game. Glad to see Peyton win, deserves to go out on top.
