meh..they hardly filled anything up. From one point where there were random zombie killings it suddenly went 15 days later where they are already in an enclave with zombies having already taken over the whole city.
They could have made it much much better...something along the lines of World War Z..the book, not the movie.

There is this thing about me and TV shows... I have to like the characters... good or evil, they must be interesting people that create value to getting to know what makes them tick. This show lacked... spice. When I hate the characters, I have a real hard time watching the show... I just end up wanting them all to get killed off, especially the drug addict son and the enabling family. For these reasons, I do not like Fear... but I will give it another shot to become interesting.

I'm finding a lot of the characters annoying, too. But I'm hopeful this season will be an improvement. Actively using drug addicts annoy the hell out of me, so I suspect that the druggy son is going to keep annoying me.

I watched the first season, and watched the new episode last Sunday. I watched, mainly because it was something to help fill the time from the original. I can't say I really fell in love with it. Like others have said, I honestly found most of them annoying, I couldn't get into liking any of the main actors, and the druggy I wanted dead so badly. I'm not exited about this upcoming season, but I will watch in the hopes things turn around.
That being said, the first episode of this season wasn't all that bad to me. There was some good parts, and the Black guy with the boat is a character I kinda can like. Hopefully he doesn't die off quickly, as he's the guy I like the most, besides the older Asian man (He's pretty cool). But if the shows is going to last for me, they will need to incorporate some new interesting people, as it stands now, I can't stand pretty any of them besides a select few.

Not ready to call it boring and quit, but so far this is a shadow of TWD.
In fairness, there's a learning curve in the appocolypse, so the majority of characters have a big learning curve to contend with.
I've given this some thought- surviving a zombie appocolypse. Unless I was in a very rural location, I wouldn't last a week. It strikes me that the safest place to be would be Antartica because the zombies would freeze and be neutralized. Since the biggest danger is other living people I'd be deeply screwed, I can't imagine turning my back on humanity and killing humans regularly.

January, IRON's Member of the Month is obvious. With our two top Military guys out for the Holidays, we had a monumental problem. IRON needed not only a leader to step up and lead our highly motivated Military, but one to also lead our sides coalition. We needed someone who the rest of the world respected and had the experience to plan and execute a winning battle strategy. While the opportunity to lead the coalition did not emerge, he took the job knowing that he may very well be the Master Military Coordinator of the Coalition. IRON's Military was in good hands. Also while the war wound down he took over the Awards Dept issuing some long over due awards. I present to you the protector of puppies, taker of Welsh virginity, the son of IRON, Bill N Ted.
