I have locked both TW's and Blade's recruitment topics for PnW for the alliances they're in.  IRON currently isn't an entity on PnW, which hopefully in the near future will change.  That being said, both threads have gone away from actually trying to recruit, and instead have become a place for individuals to trash talk and bad mouth the other alliance.  

 

I'm not having our forums become the OWF of PnW, especially when IRON isn't even an alliance on the game.  We have members of IRON as well as diplomats from other alliances in both these alliances as well as others, and have conflicting feelings on things.  Everyone is free to think as they wish, and join whatever alliance they choose, but I'm not going to have members fighting with one another or foreign diplomats over something that has nothing to do with IRON or our community.  Our current forums are for CN and IRON community as a whole, and until that changes I am fine with people looking to recruit IRON members to an alliance we're not setup in.  But I'm not having it turn into IRON members and/or foreign diplomats at each others throats or being banned about a game or alliances that aren't IRON or a game we as a group are in.  

 

The two recruitment topics are visible for everyone to see with instructions on what to do if you want to join one of them.  If you have any questions, I'm sure Blade or TW/Myself would be glad to answer them in a PM.  

 

It's unfortunate that it has turned to this, but I've been sitting back reading whats being said and what has been going on, and I see nothing good coming from continuing to allow this to keep going.  I hope we can garnish enough interest/willingness to someday form IRON as an alliance on PnW, until then there are alliances such as NPO or T$ that are made up of some IRON members.

Remember next time to post why you're locking a thread when you lock it. WE've had several threads moved and locked recently with no trace of who did it.

Understandable. It's difficult to avoid responding, so think this was a wise decision.

To me, it would be a bit different if the argument revolved around something IRON was actually involved in.  But it's not, it's IRON members/Diplomats in alliances outside of IRON on PnW arguing politics/opinions of a game and using our forums for it (there is a OWF on PnW forums for such).  Like I said, I'm all for giving IRON members a place to look to join in another game since we don't have our own identity on it..but leave it at that.  I rarely lock topics, but I don't care to see members of our community getting upset with one another over something that doesn't involve IRON as an AA.

 

The topics are still visible, I didn't hide or remove anything.  The purpose of the topics are still present, and the steps to take to join either are still there.
