It's pretty bad out there right now. I'm about ready to drop the hammer on Westworld because there is no reason in the show to care about it. If you have Netflix I would recommend "Bloodline", "Sherlock", or "Borgia".

I've been getting into anime lately and watched some good ones.
"The irregular at magic High School" wasn't bad but I doubt it's for everybody. Has an element of mystery along with some comedic moments that made me laugh. The anime is only in sub besides a small group of characters that spoke English out of nowhere and surprised me. Might be worth a shot.
I was going to recommend ghost in a shell for a better mystery anime, but they must of taken that off of Netflix.
That being said I'm not sure what you watch and if your just into action, or mystery, or if you hate any type of ecchy.

I started watcing that when it was 4 episodes in but then got bored. Does it get better? Many shows, like Agents of Shield truly seem to come into their own after about halfway through their first season. I hope this is one of those. The concept was awesome and it'd be a shame to see all that going to waste

Live action shows
Psych (two friends make a "real" psychic detective agency and help the police solve crimes!)
Basically any of the super hero shows most are good
Leverage (a group of people who commit crimes for good)
Black list (kinda trophy but solid watch about the FBI having a deal with their most wanted criminal)
Sirens (comedy about some ambulance drivers)
Lie to me (light-hearted drama about a guy who can tell if anyone is lying via micro expressions)
Dark Matter ("edgy" sci-fi series that takes inspiration from Fire Fly and farscape, but is entirely unique)
Better call Saul (drama: About a lawyer who just wanted to do right)
Cartoons/animation/colors
Archer (comedy: A secret agency that was called isis before terrorists messed that up)
Futurama (comedy: Guy who got frozen and awakes in the far future)
Ajin (action/drama: Cant really say much without ruining the storyline but check it out)
Kill la kill (action: Girl seeks to avenge her father and is taken on what can only be a LSD inspired adventure.)
Baccano! (action with mystery elements. just a wonderful trip on a train called the flying pussyfoot)
I am going to leave out a ton of hyper popular stuff with the assumption that you have already seen it.
