With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch or 3 at deadline.
Deadline is 10:00 EDT, Wednesday, November 2

Let's do this!

So there are four possible game setups that this could be. In two of the games we could have a doctor and/or a cop. Game style two listed in the OP is a little bit worrying since it would mean that we have no power roles for assistance.

Since we have no guarantees that we have a cop working for us it will be really important that we get everyone involved and talking. Player posting and voting habits are the only way that we will be able to make educated lynches. Lurking and inactivity are not options in my opinion (looking at you Rafay and Kaziocore). Those should be our priorities to eliminate. If you are town, you need to be active. We cannot afford to have inactive townies.

With nine players and two scum in the game we have a 22.2% chance of lynching a scum on day 1. The worst case scenario for the town if we start lynching on day 1 (1 incorrect lynch and 1 night-kill every day) would mean that we could mislynch 3 times before we would lose. A fourth mislynch would result in 2v2 and would likely mean the scum wins.

The worst case scenario for the town if we do not lynch on day 1 and start lynching on day 2 (1 incorrect lynch and 1 night-kill every day) would mean that we would survive the day 4 lynch with a 3v2 advantage but would lose on night 4 if there is no doctor or if he doesn't save someone. Since there is only a 50% chance that we have a doctor in this game as well (and his odds of surviving until night 4 are probably not great anyway), we cannot count on surviving until night 4 or day 5 by choosing not to lynch on day 1. In either case (day 1 lynch or no day 1 lynch) the game will probably end on the 4th day/night cycle unless we have a doctor and get lucky.

Lynching on day 1 means that we would have a 7/9 (77.7% chance) of mis-lynching which obviously sucks but it may be helpful to examine other's voting habits. If we can manage to catch a scum in the first two days our win chance increases dramatically.

Good morning to all! Here's hoping I make it past d2 in THIS game.

We could afford a mislynch as we have 72 advantage.

@D34TH: I'm not sure if your vote is a joke vote or not but if you think figuring out the game mechanics and laying out our options up front so that the town has as much information as possible is scummy, then I can't help you. Only anti-town players will avoid wanting to talk about strategy.

I'm glad to see that Rafay has already posted in the thread. Please continue to post! We need everyone actively participating.

I'm the guy who likes no lynching day 1 like Kevin is. If I didn't say anything wouldn't that be more suspicious?

You have a point there, rabbit. That said, Imma still watchin you.
apparently I'm a rabbit now..........

Purely jokes, I know you do this as I've seen it in other games

This setup is simple. We play as if the cop doesn't exist. It's just a bonus if he exists.

Agreed. And the best way to do so is to make sure everyone is talking. We've heard from everybody except for 1ceCream and Lyner at least once so far.

Since in a worst case scenario the town would lose on day/night 4 whether we lynch or not today, I think it's probably best that we really push people and see how votes go. Since neither 1ceCream nor Lyner has posted yet, I am going to start there.
