Making Britain Great Again

Congratulations to my British cousins. This is your day. We know what it's like to issue a Declaration of Independence, and that's what you have done today. We're on your side, and we have your back.  :Toot:

Yeah, big day <_<

I wonder if Cameron will be remembered as one of Britain's most idiotic politicians in history.

I expect Cameron and May will be seen as a disaster for the country, much as Thatcher was for manufacturing.

I may not like May very much, but as it is, her hands are tied. The people have voted. But for Cameron?

"Hey, let me just gamble the future of the country for ultra-short term political gain. Ooops. Well, see ya! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "

This is the price you pay when in a western democracy the informed and the ignorants and disillusioned have equal voting power. Hello Trump. Hello Brexit. Hello Dutch parliamentary elections earlier this month leaving us with at least 4 divided parties needed to form a coalition. I hope they don't beat the Belgian record (541 days, a Guiness record).

I know, it was awesome. I spend most of my free time sucking up your history. This was my latest binge watch.

There are actually 12 episodes... 2 seasons, 6 each.

If they go Norway-style in their EU partnership, they will have lost more sovereignty then they had before this referendum. "Norway-style" being a continued application of 95% EU legislations with 0% input (just some lobbying).

May is a politician shoved in a situation she neither desired nor advocated and she is doing what a politician should do: governing to the decision put forth by the people.

Props to her! History will eventually state how she will be remembered, but for my entire lifetime she will be held in highest regards.
