Went to see it last night with some friends.
Now I realize it's a Michael Bay movie, so I'm not expecting an intricate or even well developed plot. Nor am I expecting great dialogue. What I am expecting is explosions (and plenty of them), and giant robots punching each other in the face. A Popcorn Movie in other words.
This thing was disappointing, I ran out of patience with it about an hour in.
It was way too long for a Bay movie. It started at 7:40 and was over at 10:30, I found it really dragged at times. They could have cut about an hour out, and not affected the story in the least.
There were a number of scenes that I found too cheesy. For example, when Hopkins is telling the story of Merlin his Robot butler starts playing dramatic music on a organ. Which is basically the joke.
I can't remember a lot about the film, because I stopped paying attention to it.
It wasn't as good as the first two.
