That seems like a headache for mod, as he'd not only need to find a way to pick who is chosen for trial by combat but then if they win or not.
It's not that hard to flip a coin.
Flipping a coin is not difficult, to decide if one survives or not I agree. But what about if there was no votes? Most coins I know of do not have 13 sides.
My point is, the same likelihood of a positive outcome comes from either we vote someone off nothing, they get highest and a coin is flipped to decide if they win trial by combat, or no one votes, Brewers has to find a way to pick someone out of the 13 people, and then decide if that person survives trial by combat by a flip of a coin (or whatever way he decides). Either we put someone up off no knowledge for trial by combat, or we let odds hopefully be in our favor that he chooses a scum out of 13 and they lose trial by combat, or if a town is picked, they win trial by combat.
It was more meant to be a talking point/discussion. The benefit I see is that by not voting D1 when no one knows much (Again I am not against D1 lynch if there's something to go off of, I personally haven't seen much this D1 to do so) we prevent maybe someone revealing their identity and role if they're in fact the one being put up for trial by combat by having the most votes. Instead it's left up to fate by Mod as no one knows if they or someone else will be one chosen.
Just thought I'd add a possible idea to this D1.
For now
