Of course not, but there are always clues that there is a problem. I wouldn’t marry someone I don’t know very, very well. I would not marry someone who had it in him to be that cruel to me. I am married because I wanted to spend my life with someone and I made damned sure he was someone I could trust with my heart. Yes, people are shocked to be left at the alter, but that way of abandoning someone is so profoundly and knowingly hurtful that I believe there would be warning signs that my man was capable of doing that to me.
