Anyone in IRON play this round on TE of CN? I kinda need help, me and five others started an alliance, the Peace Federation, we wanted to play in peace but Alpha Wolves had other plans for us, the started attacking us for no reason and we declared war on their alliance and told them to peace out of face war, they refused so we have been at war for two days now, we sent three of them into Anarchy and the did 2 of us including me.. We running out of cash and we cant win cuz its five against like 20 of them, we trying to as much damage as possible before they zero us out. but I want to delete my nation and start over.. all five of us wants to, we need help to grow really strong once we restart and then go head on and nuke the shit out of AW, anyone here that can give us a day to day guide and how to create a trade circle?, would really be grateful.. you can look us up just look for the Peace Federation Alliance

Tournament Edition Guide : Setting up your nation
---------


< Day 1 >
1. Pay your bills before doing anything else

2. Buy the National Research lab (NRL) or Interstate (IS) or Disaster Relief Agency (DRA) Wonder

3. Wait for a trade circle (Do not change resources until you are assigned a circle

4. Set Nation Settings
- Set government position to B,A,B,B,B,A,B,A
- Set Tax Rate to 28%
- Black Sphere
- Set government to Democracy

Make sure not to buy / do anything else until we are ready to start getting ready for collection. The goal is to minimize bills and maximize collection!


< Day 2-6 >
1. Once you are assigned trade circle:
- Buy 98.99 levels of infrastructure (bringing you to 99.99 Infra total)
- Buy Harbor Improvement
- Change resources as specified by your trade circle
- Send trade requests

2. Buy your next wonder (DRL, IS, NRL) (Day 5)


Tournament Edition Guide: Build up and Collection
----------

< Day 7-10 >
1. Prepare to collect on day 7 (with 1 week bonus) or on day 10 (with 3rd wonder)
- Make sure you have at least two wonders (DRL, IS, NRL)
- Make sure you have a fully completed trade circle! - (If you don't message leadership to look for a temp)
- Make sure your DEFCON level is 5 and your Threat Level is low.

2. Buy 3rd Wonder (Day 10)

3. Pay Bills

4. Buy 19 tech, then 20 tech ((bringing you to 49 tech total)

5. Buy 99.99, then 100, then 100 land (bring you to 299.99 land purchased)

6. Buing Infrastructure
- Check to see if you can buy factory improvement
- Buy infra in levels of 100 (check if you can buy factories after each purcahse)
- Save at least 5 million dollars to buy improvements

7. Buy income boosting imrpovements in order
- 5 Banks
- 5 Stadiums,
- 2 Clinics
- 1 Hospital
- 3 Schools
- 2 Universities
- 5 Intelligence Agencies
- 2 Schools
- 1 Foreign Ministry
- 3 Clinics
- 5 Police HQ's
- 5 Churches,
- Border Walls (buy one at a time, checking collection after each; if collection increased, buy another; otherwise sell a BW and STOP).

8. Buy soldiers equal to 0.2x your working citizen count

9. If your trade circle is active and wanting to swap resources
- Build up when you are in the build bonus trade set
- Switch to collection bonus trade set

10. Now you can finally collect taxes!


Tournament Edition: Post Build Up Guide

< Day 11 + >
1. Time to get ready for war
- Build 5 Labor Camps
- Build 5 Guerrilla Camps (Build labocr camp first or you will lose improvement slots; decommission Border Walls, then Churches if you need to make room).
- Switch to DEFCON 1 and Threat Level severe immediately!
- Max soldiers, tanks, and spies.

 

Tournamnet Edition Gude: Military Generals and XP

< Starting out >
1. Find solo TE players to raid for experience

2. Buy these initial generals to gain income bonus:
- Army - Jaylon Jimenez requires 12 levels
- Navy - Walter Goodman requires 14 levels
- Intelligence - Santos Ferguson requires 14 levels
- Air-force - Aryan Boyd requires 90 levels

< Tips >
- You can terminate generals and get a 70% refund on the total XP cost. The cheapest way to earn Intel XP is to "Destroy Cruise Missiles", even if they have 0 Cruise Missiles, you'll still gain 1 XP point.
- You can earn 1 XP point by sending 1 level 1 aircraft, no matter how much more your powerful your opponents air force is, you'll earn 1 point but you may lose the aircraft. Your less likely to lose the aircraft being level 1 while more likely to lose it being a level 9 aircraft.
- Navy XP is the hardest to obtain, because it can sometimes be a race to blockade your opponents before that nations other opponents blockade first. Remember, your opponent can only be blockaded once per day. The cheapest method is to use 5 battleships to blockade.

Tournament Edition: Next Wonder (4+)

After the first 3 wonders in TE , wonder choices become rather personal. There are many different options for you to take your nation in! Please see some of the trade-offs and ideas below.

< Military Wonders >

[Manhattan Project](:) The MP wonder is a solid choice for early war advantage. You'll absolutely deal a ton of damage in your wars and have the upper hand, especially if your experienced in coordinating nukes with your allies and timing ground assaults and air raids with them.

[
Strategic Defense Initiative](:) SDI is a good choice to attempt to minimize damage to your nation when facing nuclear nations. It's a very unpredictable wonder, sometimes you'll block 4-5 nukes and others you won't block a damn thing the entire war. If you want to minimize damage in wars and particularly if you're not able to be very active and coordinate attacks this is a good choice.

[
Central Intelligence Agency](:) CIA is a very powerful wonder but requires a very skilled and active player to make it useful. You'll need to coordinate with your allies and conduct the right spy operations to cripple your opponents. Its also an expensive wonder to use, because spy operations can often get costly.

< Economy >

[Stock Market](:) SM is typically the first wonder you purchase in standard edition. Simply because it's hard to beat a +$10 bonus to citizen income. It's definitely a solid choice.

Great University](:) GU is a very good option as a 3rd wonder. With it's decrease in tech purchase price and happiness bonus with tech. At 0.6 happiness per tech level up 1000 that's a happiness bonus of +3 at 500 tech. And eventually at higher tech a cap of +6 happiness. I would personally recommend this as your 4th wonder.

Universal Health Care](:) UHC is also a very good choice with it's bonus to citizen count.


Tournament Edition: General Economy
--------


< Collection >
In general there are a few things to keep in mind with collecting taxes. The ultimate goal is to reduce bill payments over a period of time (labor camps, lower infra) then build up and collect a large amount at once.

1. Never collect with guerrilla camp + labor camp improvements. It is almost always better to destroy these improvements, collect, and re-buy.

2. Don't collect on a daily basis, it's better to save up at least 5-10 days worth of taxes to get a slight bonus in taxes collected.

3. Always check border walls (buying or selling 1 at a time) to see if it improves your overall tax collection. If you are unable to purchase all the income improvements (due to war damage) it's almost always better to sell border walls to get the extra population.

4. Never collect while in anarchy or under nuclear effects.

5. If you've been blockaded, you can reduce your blockade by in turn blockading someone else.

< Minimizing Bills >
While you are building up back taxes, your goal should always be to minimize bill payments.

1. Always maintain 5 labor camps while paying bills (if possible).

2. Keeping infra just below each 1000 increment will reduce bills as maintenance cost increases dramatically at these points. ( E.g. 1999.99 is cheaper than 2000.00 )

3. During war, sometimes it's better to wait to pay your bills after you've taken some damage - as you will likely pay reduced bills.


Tournament Edition: General War
-------


The goal of war is always to do more damage than is dealt to you.

1. Try to maintain a warchest of at least $50 million -- it's best if you manage to collect right before the start of a war.

2. Coordinate with allies as much as possible to maximize your damage by attacking the same targets in a tight window to not give the enemy a chance to buy back troops.

3. Spy operations are powerful, but best for those with CIA wonder, large warchest, and tech to do. In general the best spy operation is to try and get the enemy Defcon to 5.

4. Coordinate nukes as much as possible. The person with the highest tech and weapons research complex (late game) should always be the one to nuke if they have sufficient inventory.

5. Typically the order of battle is:
- Spy Operation for Defcon
- Navy Attack (If you have the better Navy)
- Cruise Missile Attack
- Nuke (if ground assault odds are not high)
- Air Assault
- Ground Assault

6. If you are in anarchy, one trick is to just deploy all of your ground troops - as you are already in anarchy and it doesn't matter.


You have to know yourself, be honest about yourself, and rely on people around you to tell you when you’re being an asshole, and when they are kind enough to tell you, listen.
