Conflicted Card Game: Week 19

Conflicted is a game which consists of multiple decks, each deck containing 52 cards, and on each card is a question. The setting is in an environment where some catastrophic event has occurred. Could be nuclear war, World War III, horrible disease, economic collapse, but regardless of the scenario, no form of government really exists or if it does it is unable to help you. No calling 911, no cell phones, no internet. Its just yourself, maybe friends and family, and possibly a small group of people who can help you. Not necessarily Mad Max/Post Apocalyptic, but cohesive civilization with modern technology at our fingertips is essentially over.

Every week I will post one of the cards (selected at random), and each participant writes a response to what they would do in that situation or how they might handle it. I will let the thread run for one week, and then post a new question. Post as much as you like after giving your response. Debating and analyzing is part of the game! I won't be playing as I am the one running the game.

There are no right or wrong answers as the game is about hearing how people could navigate a stressful or perilous situation.

Deck 1 - Downfall: Nine of Spades

After being forced out of your bug out location by looters, you and your bug out group of 20 people, half of them children, walk for hours in a snow storm, looking for shelter. You find a 45 foot insulated truck trailer that would be perfect shelter. Within days of moving in, a family contracts a life threatening virus. Sickness and death could spread through the entire group if they stayed. Throwing them out into the snow storm would surely mean the infected family's death. What would you do in this situation and why?

Not sure about this bug thing. Thats going to need to be explained. The looters are a problem still, maybe a break of cause of the winter. I don't believe and throwing a family member out in the cold or a friend. Assuming we have medical supplies, give all family members a mask till the desease has past. I'd keep everyone out of the shelter till a secondary vehicle could be comrndered to put second family member in it. Then assumminly us wipes on everything infected touches and keep contact with the infected member to a min till he/she gets better or unfortunately passes. It's the be the best option. Since half are children, poses allot of problems. Regardless, in time we are going to have to deal with these looters. They caused this. So if the family member dies regardless of our efforts, ambushing these looters becomes a Goal after the snow storm passes.

A Bug Out Location is a secluded hideout you have established, it is usually stockpiled with food and other survival necessities. In the event of a major catastrophe, it is supposed to be a hidden location you can go to and remain their until it is safe to return home. Your Bug Out Location might be a Cabin in the woods, a hand dug Bunker, or a treehouse in the middle of nowhere.
