Dontavian is a new player and he was night killed so he is most likely town.  robert could be a scum role, however, being a PGO makes him probably town.  

 

as for the CM thing.

 

I believe CMs role claim.  first off, he is claiming to have two powers, which i dont think he would make up two roles.  too big a risk. so most likely CM at least started the game as town.  Is he currently town?  I am not sure.  

 

We have lyner and torres.  they should not have gotten conflicted results UNLESS one of them is lying or has a sanity issue. 

if CM is still town that would mean either torres is lying or torres has a sanity modifier.  if he is insane and getting the oposite results that means Dontavian was infected n1 and CM is town

 

if CM is infected, that means either lyner is lying or has a sanity.  so if he is insane that means that TW would also be some form of scum

 

if roles were know we would have our answer with dontavian's death, but they arent known so we have ZERO way of knowing who is telling the truth or what the situation is.  basically this will be 100% guesswork with no way of us EVER confirming anything.  

 

so either we guess luckily or scum wins lol with both a cult and scum faction potentially in play, and no way to confirm a single players alignment or truthfullness, i dont think there is a snowballs chance in hell town wins this game.   it will be either mafia winning or the cult.  now if u get infected by the cult as a townie, at least u will gain the cult win condition.  my guess is the game is designed for either cult or mafia to win

I mean, if you're town and town wins, you still win and get to brag on this thread. The whole point of tree stump and no reveal is to further confuse stuffs, true, but helping town is the optimal way to win the game.

i dont want to confirm or deny CMs claim,l way to early for me to do a soft RC in  my opinion

 

and yeah @dontavian, you dont have to participate any more if u dont want to, but if your town and you want to help your side win then its the right thing to do.   the mod isnt gonna reveal info, so its up to our tree stumps to do so.  

 

plus there are roles that can revive players, so having the attitude of not wanting to participate any more is not the right attitude to have.  this is a team game and we need the help of everyone, including the tree stumps

and dont get me wrong, i get it,  you played two games and both games the scum killed you right off the bat.  thats shitty as fuck.  whoever the scum are should be ashamed.  thats how you drive a new player away from the game. seriously, we are losing players and activity the way it is.

You are correct in saying "you didn't have to" provide your info to us, but it's in towns best interest (which you are still if you became a Tree Stump as town) to know all the information possible. I'm going to chalk it up to just being new to the game, but if any other experienced player was acting like this it would probably be seen as game throwing, or unsportsmanlike at the every least. This is a team driven game afterall, if you just want to sit on the sidelines and not participate then that's on you. But don't be surprised if people are reluctant to want to work with you in mafia in the future

I don't like quote walls for the sake of quote walls because they are damn near impossible to read on a mobile device which is what I use almost exclusively on weekends. I quoted the posts above because they were pertinent discussion and not quotes for the sake of quotes. Additionally (OOC) it's Monday so I am on my work computer now.

 

But back to the discussion: It wasn't beating a "dead tree stump". You and Robert openly called for Brewers, Nadarr, and myself (all living players) to role claim under the guise of it being an equal request to what we asked you guys to do. My point was all things are NOT equal in this case.

 

You and Robert were killed, that is true. However, unlike most games, this game provides a mechanic where the dead players can still participate in the game (including role claiming). The point was that if you are/were town, role claiming isn't something you should feel "forced" to do. It is something that you should WANT to do. You still have a way to help the town win even though you are dead. Why would you not?

Players know when they are infected and their action will go through that same night.
Infected players do not necessarily know each other.
Once infected, players lose their original role.

 

And just to give hope to the town, I'll share that there are mechanics to bring people back into townie status if they lose it.

Well, lyner could be scum.
Was going to be lynched, made a fake RC of a bloodhound and picked a random townie to carry weight.

Then cm got infected and then torres found that he's infected.
I believe that's what happened.

Torres is less likely to fake it than lyner.
And torres was in no danger.
So he had no business RCing.
He RCed, cause he found an anti town and since it's like his first game, he wanted to share his luck with everyone.

So at this point, we can say that CM is cult, but he had did his actions
Atm, he's just a Vanilla cultist.
Lyner is scum, who wanted to escape being lynched.
Torres is townie.

Now by threat level, scum are the only ones with kills.
So let's take out the scum first.
Besides, i doubt that CM is the cult leader.
Cm was just recruited, so he is a regular cultist, so he got no power to recruit anyone.


That being said, we should still just lynch out nadarr.
Due to the eventual harm she's going to bring to town. (Refer past games for examples)

How exactly does that make anything “fall flat on its face”? The argument is that you are currently a tree stump and the three people you are calling out aren’t. It makes no sense for any of us to role claim right now to appease your request. If you were town I really don’t understand why you don’t get this. Don’t you think that arming the town with as much information as possible in a game full of unusual unknowns would be a good thing? You realize that if you were town (even though you’re currently “dead”), you still win if the town wins? You get that, don’t you?

So tell me then, what gives the town a better chance of winning?:
1) A former townie with nothing to lose and everything to gain role claims to give the town potential information to work with.
Or
2) A former townie with nothing to lose and everything to gain does nothing to help the town even though unusual game mechanics allow it.

Only one of those options makes sense if you are/were town and you know it.
