I'm just thinking, it's a single player game, do I wanna be sat in front of a smaller monitor on a desk on a gaming chair for hours upon hours

 

Or do I wanna be sat on my couch with a 60" ambilight 4k tv..

 

What would you guys prefer for playing SP games?

I prefer pc because of performance and comfort of mouse. Controlling camera with mouse is something i avoid if i can.
I'd say best option is connect pc to tv, use wireless keyboard and mouse. Your keyboard will have to have space to use mouse. It won't be as comfortable as a desk or even as ergonomically healthy, but it can get the job done.
On ps you'll miss ray tracing and high end graphics or trade it for performance, but then i never care about graphics after a certain level as i'm not going to stop running around to see how detailed every small thing is.

If you aren't concerned about performance of your pc rig, then PC all the way. Precision with a mouse is better than a controller any day imo

 

But if you wanna play it safe, PS4 is a safe bet. I decided to pre-order on PS4 just because my tower setup is out of commission currently, being rebuilt. And idk how well my Alienware laptop can handle it.

I say PC for the Mouse + Keyboard controls alone. And, as dsfrr1 said, you can connect the PC to the TV

I'm in the camp of whatever you feel you will get the most enjoyment. Granted i'm getting it on xbox one cause of my rule on console games, my laptop sucks, and cause my xbox is ancient i'm getting a series x this year so i will get the series x version for free
