Thinking further about the way Canik was revealed I’m thinking it’s likely that there is a revival mechanic in play (maybe a Reviver) or possibly even a Coroner role.

Hmm, maybe, although aren't those more useful in limited or no reveal games? Either way it feels like we're still focusing too much on the setup, but we have 2 votes to start doing some actual play analysis, plus 3 nights, so surely someone knows something by now. I'm on my phone so I can't go through the thread very well but I feel like we ought to start making more educated guesses at who scum is or isn't by now.

Canik was killed night 2.

since colors and basically everything else is a potential clue, does it indicate anything that brewers reported MK “died” vs Canik was “killed”?

You have more experience than I do, but this was the 2nd night and 6th person to die, but the first one to not be pretty explicit in details about the role + a lot of info about flavor. I mean we spent the entire last day basing our kills on a lot of information we were being given about alignments vs the Lannisters, and I don't think we'd have as much information so early on in a limited-reveal setup.

 

Obviously there's something obscuring details about his role + flavor character though. At first I thought maybe brewers just hadn't filled it all in, but at this point I'm sure it was probably intentional. It's interesting that the first kill alongside a flavor cop being shot loses any info about its flavor.

Maybe the wiping has limited actions like the ToS janitor only being able to clean someone up 3 times a game.

I just looked it up and yeah that might make sense. The stuff about "dead" vs "killed" and his color is also interesting but this would explain the lack of role info at least.
