The Unkindled repeated the promise that he’d made as he fell into the gaping hole behind the Ringed City altar. Landing in the great cavern below the city, he was met with a dragon unlike any he had encountered before. Darkeater Midir was even more terrifying than Shira had described, and would surely be his most difficult soul to collect.

 

The great dragon fought unlike any other of his kind, using every bit of his size and speed to smother the Unkindled, and utilizing dark curses and energy that were nearly overwhelming. Its most effective attack - emitting a beam of dark magic wildly in all directions - took nearly a dozen of tries to evade successfully before its subsequent moment of vulnerability was capitalized on. At long last, after nearly an hour of grueling battle, the Unkindled landed the perfect strike to stagger the monster, and plunged his dagger into Midir’s head to finish the fight.

 

With the bonfire now lit, the Unkindled collected Midir’s soul, and returned to fulfill the promise he’d made.

 

Robert2424, Darkeater Midir, a Vanilla Townie, has been lynched on Day 1.

The Lords of Cinder sat in a dimly-lit chamber at the top of Lothric Castle, rustling through any scroll they could find for any sort of information that might be the lead they’ve longed for. An undead knight some are calling The Unkindled, who the prophecies say is destined to link the flame once more, has already defeated Filianore’s great dragon that had long guarded the Ringed City. Surely he must have allies, they thought, and without these allies, he might be weakened enough to be stopped.

 

For a moment, a single scroll presented itself. It contained information about great blacksmiths - ones who could forge great weapons, shields, and staves. Unfortunately, the scroll contained many names, some familiar and others unknown, but this was a start. One of these must be assisting the Unkindled.

 

 

 

 

At the same time, The Unkindled returned to Lothric Castle, expecting to revisit the mysterious priestess, Emma, for additional information about the prince bearing the Lothric name. However, when he arrived, she was slumped over her chair. As he approached, she uttered a final wish.

 

“Prince Lothric is in your hands. Please save his soul. Tell him what he must be... a Lord."

 

Suddenly, a great, distorted knight descended from the ceiling. She was known only as Dancer, a daughter of the royal family of Irithyll, now distorted into one of Pontiff Sulyvahn’s outrider knights. Wielding swords infused with dark in her right hand and fire in her left, she truly attacked as if she was dancing through her movements.

 

Unfortunately, while she slowed the Unkindled, she could not stop him. His movements were too quick, and he had acquired a new sword and learned some spells prior to the fight. With one roll and final blow of his moonlight greatsword, he struck through the Dancer’s leg, and then her neck, ending the bout.

 

Velocity, Dancer of the Boreal Valley, a Vanilla Townie, has been killed on Night 1.

my query to Lyner was for him to clarify the statement about 2 VTs not being too bad... your “1) we got super lucky with the deaths and have plenty of PRs left” makes sense...IOW if we had to lose two Town, at least it wasn’t PRs.
