Yeah, my bad. Had some family events to attend and had very little access to the forums. Looks like there is good justification for voting Tony today, especially considering the lack of effort/reasoning in his self defense post. I personally have a hard time judging character on here, but as everyone else seems to have a rather strong opinion, I'm inclined to agree. If he doesn't post any additional justification in the next few hours, I'll put my vote on him.

2) Offer up any final thoughts they might have before they get lynched since they still win if the town wins.

The Unkindled had met Friede before. She had seemed to be waiting for him in the cathedral, and was insistent that he must leave this painted world with haste. All in the world had spoken of her with the highest reverence, and she clearly guarded this world as if it were her last hope. There was no aggression in her voice at that time, only the monotony of duty to the world she cared for.

 

“Be forewarned, eager Ash,

Should this world wither and rot,

Even then would Ariandel remain our home.

Leave us be, Ashen One.

Sweep all thought of us from thy mind. As thy kind always have.”

 

As the Unkindled approached Father Ariandel at the altar, however, he realized that Friede’s warnings were not simply peaceful.

 

(Father Ariandel): “Ahh, oh. Bring Friede to me, please. Canst thou not see? The flame, flickering once again. Soon it will surge. I can see it, feel it…”

 

(Friede appears)

 

(Sister Friede): “Fret not father, we have no need of thy flail. ‘Tis only the flame, quivering at misguided Ash. Please avert thine eyes. I will snuff out these ashes for good.”

 

What followed was a brutal bout. Friede, like many in this world, possessed great Dark powers, and had an unbelievably swift scythe with which she tormented the Unkindled throughout the fight. Ariandel joined the battle part-way through, but mostly bumbled his way through the chapel, unable to command the arena the same way Friede could.

 

Ultimately, the Unkindled prevailed, but not before being severely damaged. Few fights would prove to be more difficult as he continued his search for the four Lords’ souls.

 

Tony Maurice, Sister Friede, a Vanilla Townie, has been lynched on Day 2.

The Lords were becoming distressed. None had directly fallen, but many loyal servants to the cause were being methodically eliminated by the Unkindled. The death of Sister Friede, in the Painted World that had been so carefully crafted, was especially frightening, as her world was considered impenetrable. Was Lothric Castle safe?

 

One Lord was not so sure. He retreated to his cathedral in Anor Londo, desperate to find another god which he could devour and satiate his fury. He dispatched messengers across the land, warning of a great peril that could befall the world should the great Saint be destroyed. Maybe revealing his identity, his necessity to the cause, would help rally those of the world against the Unkindled. He could only try.

 

Lord MK is aligned with the Town.

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the Unkindled was arriving in Irithyll, a great city on the footsteps of Anor Londo. The Unkindled was seeking out a Lord of Cinder, but would need to get through one of his most loyal servants first: Pontiff Sulyvahn.

 

The Pontiff controlled the city with an iron grip, and while it was well-known that he had defeated the Darkmoon Gwyndolin upon taking over the city, there were rumours that he had fed Gwyndolin to Saint Aldrich himself. The Pontiff’s influence reached far and wide, commanding outrider knights across the valley and even at the gates of Lothric. Sulyvahn was one of the most fearsome defenders of Lords that the Unkindled would face.

 

Truly, the fight was brutal. Sulyvahn was relentless, and his mastery of both the profaned flame as well as magic were unparalleled. He seemed to effortlessly glide across the chapel in a simple motion, always keeping the Unkindled on his toes, rolling side to side. A few minutes into the fight, though, the Unkindled started recognizing the Pontiff’s broad swings, and realized a few that were parryable. This improved the Unkindled’s odds tremendously, and while the Pontiff’s clone raised the difficulty again towards its conclusion, it did not prevent the inevitable: the Unkindled seemingly could not be stopped in his quest to defeat the four Lords and reignite the flame.

 

Dontavian, Pontiff Sulyvahn, a Vanilla Townie, has been killed on Night 2.
