[Shan Revan]

I come before you with sad news

 

My friend, and fellow former IRON Councillor, Mia tragically passed away, 3rd of August 2023, aged 31.

 

I was fortunate enough to encounter Mia in my role in foreign affairs as a counterpart in the alliance TOOL, who were our friends and allies before eventually merging into IRON. While she was always fun to work with, it wasn't until

 

Mia was an amazing young woman. She was warm and caring, fun and had a wicked sense of humour. Mia brought life to every community she partook in and brightened the lives of those who knew her as friends. Sadly, she struggled with chronic health issues her entire life, but the strength of her determination and ambitions saw her to many impressive successes in spite of the challenges. It comes as no surprise that when combined with her cunning political acumen she was responsible for many of IRON's greatest diplomatic achievements and is well known, and now mourned, across the cyberverse.

 

Ultimately Mia was my friend for the last 15 years and will be dearly missed.

Incredibly sad news to hear. If I recall correctly, Mia assumed the role of IRON President shortly after my former alliance VOC, merged into IRON. This was back in 2012-2013 and I remember Mia being a very kind and welcoming individual.

I was really sad to hear about this. She was an amazing person and was very friendly with anyone who interacted with her.

 

She was the 8th President of IRON (https://cybernations.fandom.com/wiki/President_of_IRON). Although it was for a short period, previously she served for a long time as the Secretary of State of IRON, working closely with MCRABT (7th President) to set the FA strategy of the alliance.

Thanks for posting Shan, a loss indeed. She certainly did a lot of interesting things in the cyberverse as well as outside of the game.

I'm not sure i had the pleasure of meeting Mia, or if i was here at the same time as her, but the loss of one of our own is never easy. Condolences
