I would say its a Vigilante and not a SK because of the nature of the killing. SK seems like someone who will use knives or something more sinister. Blunt trauma force seems like a crime of passion pointing towards a Vig.

 

I would say the Vig targetted Rafay and the scum targetted Samus. Agreed with EM as well that i dont see why scum would take out a noob instead of one of the experienced players. So that points towards another noob as the scum who decided on targetting Samus.

 

I will take a look at Rafay's and Samus' day 1 postings later to see if there was anything they said that resulted in them being targetted,

I'm guessing Rafay was our cop and Master Samus was a vanilla townie.

 

most likely rafay was a backup cop. there should be a lieutenant person who should be the main investigative role.

They are going by the movie where Patrolman Larry is the cop. While going through the story alos found an interesting tidbit. Zombies cant be killed by duns so the people in the movie use clubs to kill the zombies. Clubs = bunt force trauma -> Vigilante or at least a group who are trying to kill the zombies.

 

Also interesting tidbit was that the Old Man was killed early in the movie and later returned as a Zombie. And here we have Samoose disappearing. We are assuming he is dead but will we see him return? if he returns he will return as a zombie. I am not sure how that fits in with the game mechanics though.

Also why Master Master Samus? It seems kind of cruel to kill a new player to the game after his very 1st day. Not a very good way to keep players coming back for more. I do not think an experienced player would have done that.

Good to finally see a new day, but sad to lose two town; one with a power role.  I have to agree about two groups of scum or one group with a SK.  I am not sure why a person would just disappear.  I've went back and read this thread multiple times the last few days and will have to do so again now that we see who was targeted.

I guess it doesn't say what his role is, but his title was patrolman and someone else speculated he was our cop.  It made sense to me.

I've read back through Rafay's posts and can't see why he would be targeted by a vigilante.  He only had a handful of posts and didn't give a scum vibe.  Samus came across as town to me and having fun tossing around votes to see where he could get a reaction.  He either got one or somebody wants it to look like he got one.

Rafay got killed probably because of his performance in the last few games. He never does much analysis and looks scummy even when he is actually not scum. Its a problem for the town because when ppl start concentrating on his suspicious posts, the real scum get a pass and get an easy townie lynch. Thats my theory anyway.

I agree with Imran. The only reason my name is on there at all was to get that day over with.

It is also worth noting that Imran clearly favors lynching. I'm sure if we asked him he would tell us that it is because it allows us to analyze voting patterns and also encourages discussion.

Why then is he not leading by example and voting for someone to lynch instead of chastising others for not?
