There are multiple reasons why I change my vote.

 

I think there's a better chance Ovid will flip town over Spaztik

I wanted to see what other people would do.

May choice of how to use my ability might change based on people reactions.

 

So pretty much my "role-claim" was vague because I didn't want to speculate who I was, or what my abilities are. <---- so pretty much my role-claim is townie, like every one else. I guess you need to lynch them all, because of their vague-ness.

iSocialism - the default assumed of those who have not roleclaimed is vanilla townie. That role has no active or passive 'abilities', and in many senses is not considered a role (aka power role) at all. The moment someone refers to their role as actually influencing their actions, or refers to an 'ability' they have at ALL - even without further information - that is the start of a role claim. You have already taken this step, which sets you apart from all those who have not claimed.

Townies obviously do not want to lynch a power role - this is why many roleclaims come out when the person being lynched is on the defensive, as a "Don't kill me! I have a role that will help town!" measure. As one of the candidate lynch wagons, you are in that position. So your referring to a role NOW at the end of the day, as part of the justification trying to keep people from finishing you, is *extremely* suspect.

My input is thus: right now, having claimed your role like you did will do you more harm than good because noone will really believe it. The more vague you are right now, the less you will be trusted. If you want to keep the final votes from swinging your way, I suggest you become a lot less vague, FAST.

Fatalism can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Nothing is final until the day ends.

If you are town: giving us your role now will tell us a) what we must consider in determining whether to risk lynching you, and what we will have lost if you are lynched - because we will NOT learn it from the mod death messages.

I know Robert will likely decry this as 'role digging' - but iSocialism made his role an issue when he said it was a reason behind his vote shift. With him on the block as the next-in-line to be lynched if NO votes move, anything and everything he can do to explain his position and reasoning is fair game. If he is going to be lynched, I want to at least know what he claims we will lose.

@iSocialism, you are getting lynched if you can't convince others that you are not scum. I specifically gave you this opportunity by not voting for you yet. Really the only you can convince that you are town right now is with a full claim and let others judge whether they believe you or not. You dont have anything to lose. If you are a townie, there is 0 justification to hide your role now and your action last night. Even if you are getting lynched for sure, you would reveal your role and all you know so that townies can use that info in the next day.

This is probably my last post of the day, before I go to work.

But here's the thing

All these theories are more just opinions. Though, we keep using them as evidence.

In this game of mafia, every player will have a different playing style, and are not all the same.

 

We cannot assume that all players play alike, only that a player
will play the same. The only thing for certain is KevinH will not
lynch on Day one. Using our untested theories as evidence might get a
scum once in a while. At the same time though, while he hangs next to
multiple townies next to him.

 

We lynched base off a hunch, and become bias while trying to
justify that hunch. Yes, you can't trust anyone but yourself, because
you're the only one who knows what your truth is. You most go off
your hunch. Though you must be careful in doing so. Rather it be
trying to get people on your side or just explaining yourself.

It appears Spaztik muffin is active enough to place a vote to save his own ass but not much to help the town though. I personally don't trust ether of them. So, Since the Ovid train seems to have come to a abrupt halt, I can do two things. Seal the deal on Isoc, and get a lynch, or make things a bit more interesting. I like interesting as it gives us all more to go on. Since I'm likely to be the target tonight.

I personally say lock all three of em up, but thats just me. Unfortionitly Spaztik, you fit the bio of scum and not posting alot. Your new and we think we have new scum. I personally don't like lynching new players, but I play to win also. 

 

This means now Imran could place a vote on Spaztik if he wishes to lynch him. or preston to come off Ovid and that be that. Or Imran can seal the deal on isoc with his vote, or Preston switch his vote from Ovid to Isoc and seal the deal that way also. Lets see what happens.

i have been reading all the comments but im not too sure on how you guys post so much on very little info. maybe ill need to go back through and read all 20+ pages and see what turns up
