[TW-01] Cybernations Mafia - Town Win!
Absurd accusations? Imran thought my opening post & concerns made sense: http://ironcentral.org/community/topic/56759-tw-01-cybernations-mafia-day-2/?p=852901 Though somehow he goes from that to confidently stating me/Rhizo/FB are working in tandem a few short posts later.. simply because FB also thought my accusations/concerns made sense too. I have 0 idea how he worked Rhizo into the equation though. Hehe, I really get the feeling here that some people are thinking OMGUS towards me but are avoiding making the OMGUS votes because they're experienced and that's pretty much Mafia 101. It's one of the 1st things you learn playing Mafia. Also, AbT. I did not claim the "I got nothing last night, sort of" post was solid proof. Now who is twisting words and making things up? I simply said I found it suspicious. Lyner's response made me more suspicious, and so I voted for him, but even now I wouldn't claim it's 100% solid proof.

I had already addressed it. Which is why you're asking for something "besides cuing that I have some sort of power". I didn't feel the need to re-address it, and assumed you were just being intentionally obtuse and trying to create an repetitive back and forth to numb and confuse voters to the issue. The fact that you now give some acknowledgement that I did indeed make an argument, and was not so vague, only strengthens my belief that you were being intentionally obtuse. You didn't definitively say you faked the claim, but you definitely suggested you might have. Now you seem annoyed that we are considering this possibility.. and you think true townies should just ignore it? lol okay As for "trying to reveal your role and risk tonight's targetting", you say right after that, that even if you claimed a power, other power role townies will target you tonight and scum will have an easier time picking a low profile target. So do you think it's a big risk or not? Make up your mind please. Anywho, it's true you may get protection tonight but the scum can mark it down for later. In general, it just doesn't seem wise to advertise you have powers to the scum. Especially when you have nothing to report. Does this not seem like common-sense to everyone else? And the scum have something to consider instead of blind targetting as well.

One day and 9 hours (from now). Could be enough time, with 18 people in the game. We only need 5. Though I do wish we had more time and can understand the concern, but I think you may have been jumping the gun when you were rushing people 2 days ago: http://ironcentral.org/community/topic/56759-tw-01-cybernations-mafia-day-2/?p=852375 When you claimed your supposed power, the default setting to that is what you're saying is truth. Now you say it might not be. That is definitely a change in stance, if not technically a full backpedal. The bit about caring about your life, is because you suggest what you did may have been sacrificing your life to defend a more important town role. By suggesting this is what you did, you basically abandon that strategy to defend yourself. Now scum is much more likely to target Mandarjin who very probably has a real power. Unless you BOTH were faking.

By the way, I dont remember playing any games with you so what are you basing this off? A few months ago I played a couple games here, you were in one or two.. trying to remember the theme.. let's see... there was an Iron City one or something, might've been that one. I know it was shortly after the LoTR one which TBR was in.

Good point, except that you're biased and nitpicking If you actually read the posts since day 2, Mandarijn and Rafay(and perhaps some other) has dropped hint that they too have a power Second, I might as well be a vanilla/weak role that did that to throw off scum to target me instead of the cop. The possibility is endless (ooc: ugh power went out just as I was finishing my post. very annoyed, going to re-write it quickly. Bear with me if it's somewhat messy/direct) Skimming over them again, I still don't see Rafay's but you are right. Hidden away at the end of a post was a soft claim by Madarjin too. Missed the before. But it changes very little, his post came after yours and I'm not sure he's an experienced Mafia player, perhaps he was following your lead. The possibilities are far from endless. 1. You're either a townie with a role just trying to help. 2. You're a townie with no role, trying to protect those who have roles. 3. You're scum, making a rather safe gambit that has resulted in at least Madarjin following suit and indicating he has a power role. 4. You're a jester / you're town but don't care and are just lulzing it up. Pretty sure that's it. 1. Probably not true, because your soft claim would give more info to scum than town, and you are experienced enough to know better than that. Plus you suggested possibility #2, making this one a little less likely. Unless you actually are #1 but have realized it was in fact a mistake, but again your experience makes me doubt that path. 2. I don't believe anyone had indicted having an important role before you. The Mafia had no leads. Now thanks to Mandarjin following your lead, and you backpedaling suggesting you fake the claim to protect power role townies, the Mafia has a lead on who to target. If you really are a vanilla town and protection was your intent, it seems to have failed horribly. Which is kind of surprising coming from someone as experienced and intelligent as yourself, Lyner. Making me doubtful that possibility #2 is true. 3. ^ See above. Mafia had no leads, now they do. If that was his real intent he shouldn't have backpedaled. The backpedal itself is also scummy looking to me. Now all the sudden you care about your life, Lyner? What happened to protecting the town power roles? Considering all this, and through the process of elimination of other possibilities. Possibility #3 seems by far the most likely to me. 4. Yeah I doubt he did it for the lulz or is a jester.

[TW-01] Cybernations Mafia - Town Win!
Hi everyone. Thanks for giving me a chance to speak. I have been catching up all afternoon. Read the thread backwards, then forwards, then re-read day 2 several times, then re-read day 1 once again. Here are my observations and thoughts: AbT is probably town. Shah believed him to be scum in league with Imran & Lyner, due to AbT defending Imran. I disagree, I believe it is more likely AbT was simply trying to be logical and unbiased. If you re-read pages 8 & 9 from day 1, you see AbT argues with Imran over town's strategy and jokes about lynching Lyner and that he's always scum. This could be some bold gambit strategy by the Mafia, but considering AbT is a novice.. weighing the risk/reward of such a strategy.. and my gut on the sincerity of the posts all tell me AbT is probably not working in concert with them. Imran, I am a little suspicious of, but he always seems a little suspicious to me. He is good at playing consistently, playing rather aggressive even when he is town. With no real evidence, it's impossible to tell. Shah's suspicion seems to mostly stem from Imran's 'bandwagoning' accusation, but I think that whole issue was overblown. I agree with Imran that technically, that was bandwagoning. It does make me a little suspicious of Avater. The person I find most suspicious is Lyner, after making this claim - "I got nothing from last night, sort of" http://ironcentral.org/community/topic/56759-tw-01-cybernations-mafia-day-2/?p=851301 So you let scum know you have a power, but give 0 useful info to the town? If you have an investigation role of any sort that would be a very noob mistake for a player as experienced as yourself. It strikes me as very strange, and I'm kind of amazed it hasn't drawn more attention. If you really are town, there's a damn good chance you'll be the scum's next target now. Might as well tell us everything you can. Yet you've been quiet on it since and ignored followed-up questions (unless I missed some posts somewhere). As for voting Kazio, there are so many being quiet and inactive, it seems like a shot in the dark to me. I think I would prefer either 1. Lynch one of the more polarizing people (Imran/Lyner/or myself) That will tell us infinitely more than lynching an inactive person. I'd prefer this even if I'm the one lynched, because once you see I'm town, that will give you something to go on moving forward. I am open to hearing Lyner's reason for the noob soft claim, but barring a very good explanation I'd lynch him first. He's done very little to help. If he & Imran are both town, I'd rather lose Lyner than Imran. 2. No lynch, because I'm very far from convinced Kazio is scum, it's a shot in the dark, and this particular game of Mafia is big enough it's a viable strategy. Though, as I believe Kevin said way earlier, we would definitely have to start lynching day 3. The game isn't THAT big. I hope some of this helps. Do what you must everyone. If I'm lynched, please come back and re-read this after and good luck to you town.

The Race for the Republican Nomination
Looking up his accomplishments, I'm not sure why you claim he was the most brilliant neurologist in history. He tweaked an already known neurological procedure and separated conjoined twins a few times with questionable success. Granted they were difficult, high risk operations but it's not like he was a miracle worker. Though, really, I will concede he was at least at one time a great neurosurgeon. Maybe he's had a stroke or something since then, or maybe he acts differently in front of crowds/cameras, I don't know, all I know if that's how my Doctor acted, I'd ask for a different Doctor. At any rate, good Doctor or not, I definitely don't think he's qualified as a leader. Certainly not for a position that high and important. Those two I don't have as much issue with. It's mainly Ben Carson / Sarah Palin who I think have no business being in the head of the United States government.

The Race for the Republican Nomination
I'm a Bernie supporter and with it almost certain now he will lose, I am kinda tempted to vote for Trump for the anti-establishment stances he 'claims' to share with Bernie. However if that's what his cabinet might look like, count me out for sure. That cabinet is god awful. Ben Carson seems especially incapable to me. I would be terrified if I needed brain surgery and he was going to be my surgeon. He looks and act like he tried to perform brain surgery on himself and wasn't very successful. Plus the whole endorsing snake oil thing.
