  1. Alright new target, if I assume there are 3 scums in this game, there may be at least one in my wagon, let's see where this goes: Vote: ABigDeer Your posts sound like scum trying to blend in Also Rafay you're next in the suspect list if you keep lurking, and what about me?
  2. My point is that getting a no-lynch is bad for scum and they should avoid it in the first place. And eh if the no-lynch passed I believe the situation will be different. Either that or I've succesfully convinced the rest of the town that I'm not scum-worthy as of now
  3. Your OMGUS vote is understandable. I can't really factor in your stance from prior games on this matter - all I saw is you were the 6th and nearly final vote. This may just come down to a question of whether we can believe you really weren't looking when you placed your vote. Maybe I'm OCD, but I like to see where vote counts stand whenever I'm about to place one... I just find it hard to believe you'd vote without looking to see how far along it was already. With that said - your "let's not be hasty" phrase when you placed your no-lynch vote was at odds with you nearly ending the day. I dont know what the hasty was referring to in that post, perhaps you can elaborate. If you're referring to something someone else said, that means you did something more than 'glance' at the page and should have known yours was going to be the 6th vote. What did you mean by "let's not be hasty" in your post? I'm going to keep my vote on you for now, but since you are at least back and talking that's a step in the right direction. Since the day is no longer in danger of ending a lot of the initial fervor people had for pursuing the near-final voters seems to have faded. I've kept focusing on Lyner because the logic still seems to make sense to me - the danger of losing day 1 conversation was very nearly avoided, and lynch or not I still think the scum would have called that a win. However a lot of the analysis hinges on the idea that Lyner can't have ignored he was bringing us to L-1, and now he's flat-out claiming he wasn't paying attention at all. So either he's just saying that now to pretend his vote meant nothing, or he genuinely voted blindly. I just don't see an experienced townie voting blindly, without checking the count. Yeah simply put it, it's whether that you guys believe me for making a careless vote or that I purposely did it It's only the first page and having 5 votes on no-lynch is extremely rare and I didn't bother counting it(it's supposed to be full of random posts). The "let's not be hasty" phrase is only a roleplay post as our wizard here is wise and don't want to suspect each other that early in the morning. Also scum wagoning on no-lynch to end the day quickly has another disadvantage: it certainly narrows down the suspect to the 7 members of the wagon, I'd say it's a rather decent information for the town
  4. It's easy for both of you to call it a random/tongue-in-cheek vote now that the day didn't end. Your excuses may be real - how can one refute "I just didn't count?" - but immediately prior to your votes I had called attention to how there were four quick votes for no-lynch, and then the pair of you placed two more. KevinH modded game or not, I have difficulty believing neither of you looked at how close you brought us to ending the day. I have no doubt that any of the townies who voted for No-Lynch during that initial rush, did so for exactly the reason you mention. Nothing would have stopped either of you from posting "In honor of KevinH, I support No-Lynch! But I won't vote for it just now since there are already 4/5 votes placed." Robert pretty much did that just now, if I read his post correctly - saying he'd likely go for No-Lynch at the end of the day, but he likes to squeeze Day 1 for all it's worth - and that's perfectly fine. My suspicion of you is not about your supporting no-lynch, it's that your vote was the 6th on a wagon that brought us to L-1 almost immediately after the day started. That's highly unusual to me, since I cannot see a townie wanting the day to end that fast; such an action in my view would only serve the scum. So I don't see it as "trying so hard to suspect" you, so much as "you did something unusual that drew peoples' attention." Even if you maintain that your vote was a joke, you can't ignore that you were the 6th vote when 7 would have been a majority. As for what you just said though: "even if the day ends in no-lynch quickly then the top voters will be the number one suspects." - isn't that exactly what I'm looking at now, minus the day having already ended? I'm looking at the top voters - as in the ones who added their votes last - for what nearly happened. If you acknowledge this much as being reasonable/expected, I don't understand how you then turn around and say it's silly to suspect you for matching what you just said. Imran made a similar point about no-lynch being 'definitely not' in scum's favor; I agree they'd rather get a day 1 townie lynch, but I think they would also have taken the day ending that fast as a win - their votes hidden among everyone else who voted because of Kevin, and able to deny that they meant to end Day 1 early when Day 2 started. At this point the day has NOT ended early, we've got five pages of discussion to look over for Day 1 and another week left to decide what we'll actually do. As Robert noted, Day 1 nobody has anything to go off of - everyone finds what they consider suspicious and works with it, or votes no-lynch. I've stated a few times now why I found the strange way the day started suspicious, so that's what I'm sticking with - it's better than random joke votes that people later deny meant anything. -Preston Except that that's the truth, I just glanced the first page and voted no lynch instead of a random guy cause you know, Gandalf Look at the past games and you can see I always try to delay the day as much as possible to look like a townie gain more informations for the town If you keep insisting on this matter, well then: Vote: Preston As for today's scum hunting, I'd love to kick some inactives Also I think it's a good time for d3mon and ABD to channel their suspicions somewhere scummy
  5. And no. Pushing for no lynch at the first day, while usually not in town's favor, it is definitely not in scum's favor, as the first day is almost a guaranteed town lynch for the scum side if they're being careful, and even if the day ends in no-lynch quickly then the top voters will be the number one suspects. It's kind of silly that you guys are trying so hard to suspect me for first voting a no lynch :V Unless....
  6. O hai there, I was out of town so haven't been reading the thread The no lynch vote is actually just a random first post, didn't count that there are already 5 votes also in my defense: http://memecrunch.com/meme/1SPF3/a-wizard-is-never-late/image.jpg
  7. Now now, don't be hasty Vote: No Lynch
  8. GG dem lurkers
  9. Lyner replied to KevinH's topic in Mafia
    yez
  10. Now now, There is 6 people left, if we mislynched today then on the next day we will only have 3 people if the scums didn't hit each other, which means town will lose. If one scum hit the other scum it would be 2 town against 1 scum. If they hit each other town wins. Point is, this is not the time to kill inactives, we need to hit scum today Vote: KevinH For putting the half-majority votes(as if he doesn't care who got lynched) even when knowing how critical today's lynch is, too scummy
  11. Let's take a look at first day's votes: In a 12 player game there is usually 3 scum, we confirmed a third party(probably SK) so it should be 2 mafia and 1 SK The mafias, not sure that there is an SK would try to split into the wagon and off-wagon. The SK lynched one guy from the wagon, therefore chance is he should not be in the wagon. One of the mafia is in the wagon, so chance is the other is not in the wagon Now let's look at last night's kill Both scum parties knows Preston is town, and if I were them I'd surely lynch him ASAP for sparking activities and leading town. But if one of the scum targets Preston, it means risking having the other party targeted Preston, too. The safer choice is for both scums to target other people, since there are still a lot of towns remaining. Preston has been suspecting Kevin strongly, so it should be safe to kill Preston the next day if one of the scum isn't Kevin. Yet one of the scum still take the risk and lynched Preston anyway. Is the scum Kevin? or is the scum framing Kevin? The Robert kill is also an interesting one, he hasn't been posting much, if scum were trying to kill a townie then Kaz should be a better choice IMO(not to mention Kaz's the only one Preston believe is a town). Robert has suspicion about Kevin. Much assumptions I know That's that, After all those mumbo jumbos, I'm feeling that our scum is Kevin and Nick, with iSoc as a runner up. Montosh hasn't posted much for me to get a good vibe, interesting fact tho, Montosh hasn't voted even once since RVS. We're screwed if Kaz is scum.
  12. Interesting And it's looking pretty bad for the town Will post some thoughts tomorrow Also why the sudden hastiness, iSoc?
  13. He does indeed He is right tho, we only have three viable options to end the day Who do you think is scum, Kevin?
  14. touche :V still, that's the impression I get
  15. Well we could always save the lurk/inactive lynch as last resort. Let's collect more data while we can, Vote: KevinH Kevin seems like he's trying to keep a low profile in this game, something an SK would love to do
  16. When in doubt, kill the inactives before they plague us later Unless you guys have a better plan?
  17. Good one, I think you aren't in the mafia side Also it makes sense, at the start of the night there are 6 people alive in the wagon, and 5 outside, them killing one inside the wagon will balance out the risk of scums getting caught in either side. Assuming that there are even number of members(maybe 2) in mafia side tho. And if we assume that there are only 2 mafias then chance is there would be no scum left inside the wagon. Possible but unlikely by looking at the flavor text + color
  18. Eh interesting I also feel that we're dealing with SK here, first night vig kill is unlikely Not sure about EM but I guess the SK thought that Imran is the cop Too bad about Rafay :|
  19. I'm still considering No-Lynch, that is if you can tell me a nice story
  20. It's more than that because the scum know who they are and won't let their own be lynched if they can help it. So you think we randomly saw how randomly suspicious Rafay's actions are that we randomly voted him? Exactly
  21. That's too much Lyner on a single post, Preston
  22. You can discuss as much as you want to increase your post count, but the only real threat to pressure the scums is the votes We only have 6 days left We can't pressure scum with only 2 votes
  23. Seems like nobody's going to support my wagon, well. . . Vote: Rafay to give him more pressure or something I'm literally having a fever here actually
  24. Create as much activities as we can during the day and decide to no-lynch only if nobody looks scummy enough Is my policy this time :|
