The Battle of the Five Armies

Only the following roles may exist in this game: Vanilla Townie, Sane Cop, Doctor, Vigilante, Roleblocker, Mason, Innocent Child, Jailkeeper, Tracker, Watcher, Fletcher (Gunsmith), Miller, Bodyguard, Role Cop, Doublevoter, Hider, Neighbor, Neighborizer, Jack of All Trades, Goblin Encryptor, Goblin Strongman, Goblin Goon, Goblin Traitor, Goblin Godfather, Goblin-aligned versions of above roles.
The roles may contain any of the following modifiers: Even/Odd Night, Non-Consecutive Night, X-Shot, Arrowproof (Bulletproof), Neighbor, Compulsive, Macho, Weak, Backup (with or without primary role present).

The Rules

 

You are Alfrid, a Vanilla Townie. Your power is in your vote. You win when the Alliance controls the game.

 

• During the Day phase, each player may speak and vote inthread.
• If a player receives the majority of the available votes during the Day, they are lynched.
• At deadline, a player with half-majority will be lynched.
• You may vote No Lynch.
• After the Day, the game goes to Night.
• The game thread is closed during the Night. The Goblins may speak to each other at Night. All Active Roles may submit actions via PM at Night.
• The Goblins can, as a faction, kill one player at Night.
• After the Night, the game goes to Day.
• All dead players (lynched or killed) can no longer participate in the game.
• Basic rules for maintaining the integrity of the game thread are in effect (i.e. players may not quote their Role PMs, nor may they discuss the game outside the game thread unless otherwise permitted, etc.)
• The game is comprised of Goblins (mafia) and the Alliance (town).
• The game is won when only one faction remains in the game, or nothing can prevent the same.

Mass role-claiming is not allowed.

Game Days will last as many real-life days as there are players alive.
Game Nights will last 48 hours but will include at least one weekday.

The Men of the Lake and the Wood-elves laid siege to the Dwarves in the Lonely Mountain, the thirteen Dwarves of Erebor (the realm of the Lonely Mountain) under Thorin II Oakenshield having refused to share any of the treasure that they had recaptured from Smaug. Dain II Ironfoot of the nearby Iron Hills marched to the Lonely Mountain with 500 heavily armed Dwarves. However, the Goblins of the Misty Mountains and Grey Mountains were marching against them.

The alliance knows there are goblins among them. They gather to discuss whether to lynch someone ...

It is Day 1.

Deadline is 1200 EST, Monday, January 12.

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch, or 4 at deadline.

 

TBRaiders is away until January 2.

Lol. This is worthy of a day 1 vote alright; nice movie quote for ya! This could very quickly degenerate into quote-slinging though if we're not careful... and I gotta say, Thorin, there's a LOT of quotes for you

I dont fully agree with this, even after the debacle of last game - we need some information going into day 2 beyond waiting for night role info, otherwise night 1 is a freebie for the scum.

 

Last game Rafay was a clear day 1 lynch choice by his suspicious activity and he proved to be town anyway... I'd probably vote the same way again if someone acts like he did, but I'll take my lesson that I need to be a bit less aggressive for now.
