  1. When I see anything in the form of poetry I automatically skip over it. Its an-inbuilt function that cant be adjusted. Now, explain what you posted in clear concise sentences, identifying (i) your list of scummy players, (ii) why do you think these players are scummy and (iii) what do you think of robert's claim. Why don't you do that first? Lead before you ask others to follow. I have already posted my vote on who I think the scum is along with my reasoning, unlike ovidsidios, who would rather lurk for days on end until a vote was placed on him and then responding with poetry. You sudden interest in my persona is becoming alarmingly suspicious. You're beginning to strike me as someone worthy of scrutiny. From the sound of your insistency, you seem to find me deserving of a hanging because you don't like my posts (neither in content nor in form), as opposed to motioning for my execution because I have given you a reason to believe I am...how do you say...scum. So please, if I do not choose to follow such a terrible example of reason, do not take it personally.

I will provide activity, and, in some way, shape, or form, I will contribute. But it will be on my terms, not yours.
  3. [OOC]Sorry for the triple posts, I was working on the song later wednesday night, but only now just finished it[/OOC] ♫I had a friend, his name was John. And when he’d come to visit he’d bring beer along. When we gathered we started walking That’s when John would get to talking And the ideas would get to flocking That’s when he turn and said, Lord know what’s in his head, “You best beware of all those evil people Those descending from up on high. Cause they’re coming boy, you know gotta believe me. Cause if you don’t then we’re gonna die.” What could I do? Choosing the good ain’t always easy, Given what little we know. So I look back to the day they took’em As he writhed his eyes they were off lookin’ Then he found me and knew what's cookin’ He proceeded to scream to me, “I know you think I’m outright looney, You’ve got every right you know. But believe me son, I swear that I ain’t lying. They’ll soon be coming from up on high I wept a tear, a sigh, My brother was gone (yes he was) How well I remember The look that was in his eyes. How long ago was that fateful day How often I get to regrettin’ Thinking about my poor friend frettin’ Over words I should have listened Now I know the fear in his eyes! So heed my words, you know you gotta believe me. To fight against uncertainty Take up your arms and fight for Him, child. For we all live on borrowed time. Yes we do, so live it well... Your will be done.♫
  4. Oh my son, how quick I see the fear rooted deep within you. I was working in the fields, when a tune came into my head. I took to writing it down, but a good ol' man like myself must urge himself to see to the news of my dear community (even if it is what you call lurking). Yes, I am aware of the stinging power of silence. I choose to meditate on it every day. How quick it drives fools wild, and exposes those evil men like a festering sin brought to daylight. But you sir have sown the seeds of your own demise. For first you called out to me in vain, wildly pointing your fingers, and I thought your actioned were baseless. I thought I hadn't any fear of you. Now twice you make your second round. Your urge the community to rally at your side; to place pressure on me. Why? If I bandwagon, you find cause to accuse me. If I do not, you find cause to accuse me. I have noticed you (all) have made your decision, and we have a current lynch decided. I have not the words to add to save him, nor have I words to assure his condemnation. I will stand on equal level as to those men who, once having learned of Big Ego's innocence or not, will review those accusers. We will find those pieces, slowly, but rest assured boy, we will find them. Your pressing will not move me, nor will the falling of those members here who believe their weight will stand alone to crush me. For the Lord is my shepherd... ...And you have no power here.
  5. Brothers and Sisters, It is with the most heartfelt sorrow that I address you today. As news has certainly spread throughout the thread town, we have lost two souls, and I fear we have many more nights before this horror is over with. But we must not forgo that light of reason, nor fall prey to the very machinations of our own investigative suspicisions. Now I do not have thoughts on this alleged vigilante, but we must not forget those lessons: love thy neighbor as yourself and turn the other cheek. Yet, zeal for my house has consumed me. For it is not the zeal we should have, (indeed it is not we who consume) But the house to whom we serve. Yet if we tear down these temples, Who then shall turn our cause? Will we cry out to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”? Wherefore have we to say, "Let us find the culprits," Rather than, "let us dig him a grave." For though composites we be, And alive we wish stay. It is a fool's errand to feign An amaranthine life When but ashes remain. Before we continue our hunt of the estranged, let us not forget our humanity. And bury our dead.
  6. Brothers, we may say these things for anyone of us who opens their mouths. What profit is there then to speak when fingers fire like hot guns in a young man's hands. Never sank the ship that rode steady in her course, nor do I believe we have the slightest idea who is true scum. And by God Almighty I pray for the day you lynch-centious crowd hang an innocent soul, for his blood will cry out from the ground! And Hell hath no wrath like the justice of Heaven. Your votes fickle sway like waves upon a timeless beach. And to each creature of light They pass back and forth; To and Fro. Like those identity conflicted Spheres of Luminescence. Who is both a particle and a wave?
  7. So are the inactives in this thread. Can I get a hallelujah? no Vote Ovidsidio That's all you get Can't even spell my name right. What kind of scum alien are you? unvote Robert2424 vote iSocialism
  8. We had this exact same conversation last game and real non-shocker was to find out the guys speaking out against the no-lynch the most (preston and d3mon) were scum. I already have my eye on those of you not only throwing out votes willy nilly, but jumping in as the 3rd and 4th vote to bandwagon. If we are going to random lynch someone, I'd rather it be those folks. Otherwise I will keep holding on to my no vote. My beloved brother, we have all reasons to justify our beliefs. How fine the line drawn when all are up at arms; how myriad the justifications for our causes. How can we say to the vineyard workers around evening time, once having received their pay, "it is not right that you should have as much as me"? Would you send them away knowing that neither the vineyard nor the labor is yours? It is true that weeds grow in the garden, and bad fruits fall amidst the good, but we must judge by the light of reason. For I once was lost, scum amid scum, and in my efforts to keep hidden, my plans were foiled as often darkness is when it is exposed to the light. Lose not your faith, and keep strong. For many may perish that seek the truth, but none who waiver have ever known defeat. For the treasure we seek will ensure our survival, and is not where thieves or scum can claim it.
  9. prison makes sense in context What rays of light are these? .... Forget your chains and prism (?) Yay you got it! Kevin, u so smrt http://images.killermovies.com/forums/moresmilies/lol.gif
  10. From the pulpit shining down What rays of light are these? Scattering shadows on the ground, Beware when talks shall cease. I stood there at your baptism, I buried your sins deep. Forget your chains and prism (?) Clear conscience, grant us sleep.
  11. vote: Robert I fear times are dark when I even I concede to not passing the first lynch. Pray brothers that we do not lynch a townie. I cannot bear to bury innocent souls. Our fear will be enough dread, let us not also douse out the light of hope.
  12. like at update today :3? (Please accept me )
  13. Indeed, I did not
  14. With the nose dive in inactivity, couldn't it be possible that the mafia members are also inactive? Not to mention, I'm pretty sure the mod of this game might have jumped ship too :/ I think it would be pretty funny, if we end up hanging all of the villagers because the mafia members were never people of interests within the discussion at hand...
  15. I'm sorry man. In truth, we should probably just scrap this game and start over. Not that I'm pushing for it. If this type of activity is normal for a Mafia game, then I say, play on. Otherwise, I can see this game becoming boring very quickly.
  16. Sorry, here Vote Blask That should be six now. I hope this is a good vote. We literally used nothing, but then again I guess the ideal conditions for rooting out Mafia's must be adapted to our current predicament.
  17. This voice is nonchalant Supposed to be? You mean amidst all the wild, irrational, baseless utterances you actually expected a better outcome than the one we got? Lynching on the first day has the highest probability of lynching a townie. This is Mafia 101. To boot, the townie was "special". And do you know who lead the madness? Shepherd did. You've got 6+ pages of utter babble and those responsible for that lynch are strewn all across those pages. Why don't we start there.
  18. On the first day, someone couldn't so much as breathe without having lynch votes shoved down their throats. Baseless reasoning echoing through every post for 5 whole pages. So people wise up, "maybe I should take care so that my mouth doesn't get me hung," they think collectively. "After all, no one was gun-ho about inactives anyway" ...damnit... They say hoping for a better outcome than on day 1.
  19. Lift the sack and spread the cheeks?
  20. That double entendre Stay tenacious, beelzeboss
  21. This could not have better epitomized your avatar http://images.killermovies.com/forums/customsmilies/haermm.gif
  22. Yes! Precisely my point, and now as we're on the same page, my retorts were from sheer bafflement. It's one thing if after the 3rd (or 2nd day even) to begin to feel the bitter sting of "fairness" as people decide their own paths. As much as I know how childish this may sound, in truth I felt the entirety of this (incredibly unprecedented) first day was just a tad "unfair". Yeah I might have been the first, but is that really any reason? If I survived till the sixth day, and on that day you vote to lynch me, would you say, "in spite of all the evidence, it was because he posted first"? You might propose that things would be different as the presence of evidence behooves us to act, not the other way around. Because that would be reasonable. If anything I've said is invalid, then please point it out to me, but if later in the game you apply those machinations of inference that have delivered many a game in favor of townsfolk, to deny me that prudence based poor timing seems entirely "unfair". And this I can say honestly, at least in my vote for no lynch, I did so on the principle of fair reasoning. To give each one their due...
