Look, I think a lot of false correlation is being made here that would make inaccurate information just as bad as no information. But I digress, because listen, I'm only doing what has been most common in all the mafia games I've played. And that's no lynch on the first night. That was it, not greater schemes at play here. I mean, sure I could say, "whelp, short straw, lynch me and be wrong; greater good yadda yadda yadda..." but I like to actually play this game So like anyone I make a case. Especially since you pointed out about voting patterns, I ask ya, "what I'd do? What pattern have I provided to incur the bandwagoning of so many?" It's purely random, and from the tone it seems to have incurred from some of the players, entirely personal. Should I curtail reasoning to ad hominems? I ask again, "what reasoning?"

The thing about RVS is that hints pop up now. If you had your way (everybody let's all vote nolynch), we'd be playing by night start, which is an inherent advantage to the scum. (A day cycle is an advantage to town, generally speaking.) I am not advocating a random lynch, which is what transpired last game. A hurried lynch is just as bad as a nolynch (slightly worse, probably). We should use our time to deliberate. Won't the tracker/watcher also pick up other night actions that aren't kills? And it is very likely that scum pulls off their kill at night, so nights are worse for town, unless the setup is massively imbalanced. I hear reasonable conclusions is grounds for lynching. Speak with care.

Because it's terribly irrational that someone about to get lynched should try to convince people not to lynch them. But if we're going to get technical, I never argued against lynching me, I simply wondered why would it ever be rational to vote to lynch someone on the first day. Since your reasoning is for information you'll get that information after the first night. Yes, it's an assumed kill, but you all believe it's reasonable to risk two town losses so that you will be aware that you lost two town people. C'est la vie, and this is the way of the game I suppose. Because it's entirely uncommon that mafioso's would want to lead votes, or that people would actually make their own deliberated responses. "Comparing voting results"...on the first day...we're going places people!

Camping is probably better IMO. While most people dislike the whole "no running water" thing, it really gives you a chance to see someone without all the modern trickery and forces you to pay attention to them. Once you accept someone in their caveman/woman state, you can see them under any modern mask or costume they put on. I'm entirely with you, but even this is a stage that should be approached with a very mature relationship. People are only human after all, and when societally we're expected to live till the ends of our days with "masks" on our faces, truly beholding someone can be a very momentous occasion. Sometimes the shattering of images is like clearing old gardens for greater edens. Othertimes, the results are irreconcilable. In the words of a wise man, "know what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom" (a little out of context, but I'm sure the leg it stands on suffices)

I know how to count votes, but from what I've gathered, every word has it's own damnable potential. Speak and you're words are bound to lynch you, don't speak and your silence is admission of guilt. I do love a good witch hunt...

Well you see this is the marvel of those who try and vote on the first day. They reveal their pure irrational capacity by grasping at straws. Was I the only one to vote for no lynching for the credible reason that I will not condemn a potential innocent on baseless intuition? No. But was I the first to do it? Must be guilty, then. I can already tell that you both will not only be the most vocal of players, but the ones least able to be reasoned with. Only such players, with such bravado, have something to hide. With such wild abandon in your voting, I am (sincerely) wondering why you're being so quick to lynch people?
