Oh my god I'm all in favor for keeping the name but this topic couldn't be more wrong (except for Tsayka's post) e: Ok, to make this a little less inflammatory, they have had actual Native Americans say that, yes, they are pretty damn offended. No, making every other team name into a joke about how easily offended people are does not help the case. The only argument for keeping the name is because it is ingrained into the team's culture at this point and it isn't nearly as widespread a term as it once was. It is dictionary racist, simple as that. But the word has lost much of its meaning due to the team bearing the name and becoming synonymous. Dan Snyder's fund helps, too. Braves is not an offensive term, Seminoles is not an offensive term, Celtics isn't an offensive term, Angels isn't an offensive term.

Try recruiting off-site. whitehouse.gov is not likely to bring politically-minded yet interesting people to the game. At least not any with much staying power I can appreciate the sentiment but 1) It's kind of pointless and only brings up old, bad press 2) Not asking NoR (much of the old guard of which is gone I imagine) if they want an apology makes this beyond dumb
