I would check out CN wiki and the wars. Kinda gives a decent idea on what happened recently and in the past.

After The Dark Brotherhood I rejoined NV and became Lord of the Interior. I forgot I was in half the alliances listed. I should update it. Also my return to PLUS was to put it out of it's misery and "disband" it. We technically merged with MASH but I'm pretty sure only a few members actually merged. It should be listed as a splinter alliance of GOLD. It had the exact same charter and structure.

I'm not sure how CN:TE operates in terms of alliance politics. But it doesn't sound like your alliance is well organized. That or everyone on it is inactive. Personally, I would leave. I don't like disorganized alliances or groups. It never turns out well.
