  2. And there is the difference between you and me. I don't trust the government. I don't trust that the government can govern itself. Need proof of that? U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time (usdebtclock.org) The smaller the government is... the less damage it can do. I don't trust people, who are the ones who make up the government. Since humans are very faulty, i's only rational to therefore not trust the government. I was gonna say more, but I redacted it. I think we're on the same page on a lot of things, but maybe different paragraphs.
  3. I can't recall my voting process too much, but they did collect personal information, had it, or required it during the process in one form or another. Nonetheless, I know my vote was secure. I've come to understand that checking identification or signatures at mass events does very little to deter violations of the system. Instead, simple, more concrete identifiers, work better. Unused ballots are gathered and destroyed. It's more likely to a your ballot and a vote, if it's not turned in, I feel like. Look at opioid drugs, part of the reason it's an epidemic is because people just leave a couple pills here or there at home, their car, throw them out, etc... It's ill handling that would be more detrimental when it falls into the wrong hands. Your experience was a little amusing to me, though. I think I ID's should be required to vote, but it's not something I'll fight and tooth and nail for if there are other safeguards.
  4. "While we’re at it, consider this your reminder that latex gas masks are not considered acceptable face coverings when entering stores that are still open during the day." This was great. The lady is into more mature pets, it seems.
  5. I was unaware that you lived in Las Vegas... I do too. I guess you know as well as I do how the election went here in Nevada. I'll share my experience and we'll compare. Election Day! My wife and I grab our 93 year old Air Force Veteran and go off to vote. We get there and find a line of about 300 people waiting. We get in line and a very helpful poll worker escorts us to the front because we are with an elderly gentleman. How nice. I come up to the desk and there is a girl there named Kim. Now she looks like she just left a liberal arts class. I said "Hello Kim... I'm Blah Blah" and I showed her my ID. She wouldn't look at my ID and immediately demanded that I surrender the mail-in ballot she claims was sent to me. I said "Well Kim... did I ask you to send me a ballot?"... She said "No"... I then said "If I didn't ask you to send me a ballot, what makes you think I would bring it in here and give it to you?"... She said "We're supposed to ask for it" I then said "You're supposed to ask for it so you can hand it back there to Reggie so he can fill it out, am I right?"... she said "Never mind, sign the glass"... I said "My Nevada State Driver License isn't good enough?"... She said "It's not required, sign the glass"... I pick up a stick and literally scribble on it... "Is that good for you?"... She said "Perfect" and gave me my ballot. Was your experience as enlightening as mine? Yes my friend... massive voter fraud. Did you ask to speak to Kim's manager?

  8. Had no idea anyone here was near either tragedy and am glad to know you and yours are safe. Unnerving is exactly how I feel living in Florida. There's probably over 10 gun shops within 20 miles on one stretch of road near me, not including pawn shops, or the occasional gun show. At my previous job, two guys went and bought guns on their lunch break just because they could - like what the fuck.
  9. Wow, these shootings are insane. It's only august 4th and 35 people have died by mass shooting so far this month, with 46 wounded. Not to mention these shooters can even have body armor on. By the way, no joke, you can buy body armor on "clearance". I wasn't even aware of that. https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/ohio-shooting/index.html https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/el-paso-tx-shooting-live-updates/index.html

  15. False, I prefer a medium with a hard crust, although medium rare will do. TNP has a post count under 1,000.
