  1. i wasn't even looking for this but found this posted on a comment board, but here is another opinion on the subject. https://youtu.be/JVzIkREFmjg
  2. i really don't understand all this paranoia and fear over assumed escalation with iran even going as far as war with iran. i guess maybe it is fun to discuss what if's. despite rand paul's rhetoric, Trump is not ever going to go to war with Iran, and iran does not want to go to war with the US. there may be some tit for tat stuff that will go on but that has been happening for over 40 years now. iran shot down a drone and trump didn't respond except to draw the line on killing Americans. Iran killed an American and trump responded by killing an iranian; one iranian. his response wasn't reckless he didn't bomb oil fields, he didn't send cruise missiles into tehran; he killed one iranian who was responsible for hundreds of American deaths. now we see Iran's response and it was simply a show to save face with their people. i am curious to what others think especially those not from America, but which do you think would bring the US an Iran closer to war, Trumps attack on solemani, or if the iranian attack on our embassy had been successful and an ambassador was killed?
  3. ok, i am on real computer now. first i would make sure you have a strong internet service. i can only get 8mbps which is the bare minimum, and i can just barely get by with that. the roku sets up easy pretty much just plug it in to your tv and go. you will need a roku for each tv your setting up. to add channels there is basically an app store and you download what you want. you will end up with a page that looks like any given page on your phone only all of the apps will be thetv streaming services you have chosen. you might have a hulu button, a youtube button, netflix etc. many you will have to activate on a computer. so you download the netflix app and you goto netflix on your computer pay and activate, then they give you a code to punch in on your TV, and that service is up a running. for live tv i have hulu and for about $40 it comes with a large database of tv shows to watch. you can also subscribe to hbo and showtime through them also. the 2 problems with hulu is you have to pay extra to stream to more than 2 tv's at a time, and the interface is little bit confusing. playstation vue is similar, you don't need a playstation to watch i think netflix is likely better for movies, and sling likes to claim they are better for sports not sure if any of that is true or not. hope it helps.
  4. I switched to roku and hulu a couple years ago, and i dont miss cable/ satellite at all. I would be happy answer any questions you have, but I am on a mobile device atm, so it would be painful to type a l large response on the touchscreen. Just pm me any questions when you get a chance.

  8. the problem with using the popular vote is that, as you can see, if you control the cities then you can dictate to the country how they should live. the needs of city dwellers are far different than those in the country. for example, the left wants to ban guns, but that would be brutal to the survival of citizens in Alaska. i am happy with the electoral college overall. it did what it was designed to do and that is to protect the smaller states from the bigger states. as for the accuracy of the map i posted here are links to the nytimes election results for the two states in question. https://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/washington https://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/oregon i hate using the ny times for facts but sometimes even the ny times can be useful.
  9. don't like the electoral college lets go by land area http://i0.wp.com/metrocosm.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/election-2016-county-map.png?resize=600%2C386
