I Agree actually, reason I support Ron Paul. He actually has ideas that are drastically different. He even acknowledges the Presidents power should be limited. Most powers that the Executive Branch has assumed within the last 100 years actually belong to Congress. Example the current conflict in Lybia, we have been in conflict longer than the Powers that the President hold. Congress should have the authority at this point to decide whether or not we continue with operations. One thing RP will do is withdraw most troops from areas we occupy now. He believes in a Non Interventionists Foreign Policy.

This was a reply to Lorikz Kain.

For the most part, I don't like Republicans or Democrats, and I generally look at them and don't see the difference.

I also hate the two-party system in general as it creates droves of people that vote for someone without knowing jack about their platform, just cause the person says they're republican or democrat.

The UKs system I feel is a little better on this front, there are 2 main party's that win power. However there are very strong regional party's,SNP(a party that's for independent Scotland) and Plaid Cymru(a party that wants more welsh independence). There is also the liberal democrats who are a very strong third place, the issue for them is there voter base is scattered if it was proportional representation they would be almost as big as the big 2 but its not. However they are always the king makers when it comes to a hung parliament, and on controversial policy's so they do actually achieve quiet a lot of good and help give a voice to the alternative voter who doesn't like the big 2.

American politics is horrific. Its to right wing by far, seriously you call your democrats left wing???

You need a few socialist governments to come in set up some decent infrastructure, invest in hospitals, public transport etc. spend your way out of the recession and then if you feel that your horrificly right wing ideals are correct then go back to them but with some great infrastructure built.

Note: I am English I vote conservative(right wing UK)

Spend your way out? Really? :picard:

The U.S debt is a real threat, they shouldn't be spending more, they need to be spending less.

Well the example of getting out of huge budget deficit that I have study in great detail that gave worked have been spend your way out and then save money in the good times.
