I dont see the point of lynching someone who will not participate in the game any more. Hence:

Maybe there's a cop in one of the existing votes so I'll just follow along.

If not, I think the proper strategy is to lynch somebody and hopefully get lucky.

Hm.. interesting.. it seems we have 6 votes for lynching KF2001. I guess I should wait for the Mod to reveal whether he was scum or not, but, the fact that the last 3 votes came in a couple of hours makes me wonder if we might have made a mistake.. :S

Wow, that ended really fast. I didn't know that I am allowed to vote at this time officially, but I'd have gone in for KF2001. I'm not really convinced by the scum tells. Had I voted back before this ended I would have joined the majority, I'm more concerned about our concerns about KF2001's conversation being neither addressed or remedied by the man himself. Day one he spoke a lot less than SirCrocodile about his reasons and SirCrocodiles replacement might be able to shed more light on that role. I'll leave it at that, and let the mod conclude the day....

Hm. not sure of the exact vote count, but I'm pretty sure there are scum voting for KF2001 right now. Let's just wait and see.

Please don't read too much into my "fast" vote. I felt wee needed to lynch somebody and it was going to be KF2001 or nobody.

 

If KF2001 turns out to be scum then I don't think any scum voted for him because they almost avoided it.

If KF2001 turns out to be townie, there still might not be any scum who voted.

 

The scum want a townie dead, but they knew that the town needed to take a chance and lynch.

Once KF2001 became the choice, they didn't really need to make the vote since the lynch was going to happen.

 

If I get night-killed tonight, Electric Mango did it.

(Just kidding, I have no real reason to suspect him)

We'll just have to see how this turns out... I still asume there's at least 1 scum voting for KF2001

Why did they choose ccabal86?

 

ccabal86 suspected a scum was among those voting to lynch, so maybe they felt he was a threat.

Or ... the scum knew we would jump to that conclusion, so they are setting us up for another mislynch.

It seems to be boiling down to KF2001 and SirCroc and I think SirCroc is the less scummy between the two. I'm also still suspicious of demon who seems to want to keep KF2001 alive.

 

I suspect that if KF2001 comes up scum then so will demon.

 

Does this mean D3mon is off the hook? If so, maybe Kaziocore and KevinH are the most suspicious after coming in with late votes yesterday. On the other hand, we had pretty much decided by consensus at that point anyway.

Just to be clear, you're not saying you're the cop and you haven't received any valuable information, are you?

 

Unfortunately it looks like most of yesterday's voters picked out KF2001 for his short posts, which was a sentiment I echoed at the time as well. Therefore, I'm not to sure who to pursue at this time. It would be helpful to have vote counts from the last two days to compare. If those don't get compiled before to long, I'll do it myself, but I can't do that at the moment.

I meant no cop information has been posted yet which could help the townies. Either the cop is dead or he has been unsuccessful in identifying any scum yet. But at this point even some info from the cop as to who he investigated and found to be clean would have been helpful.

 

But maybe that would just open him up for a nightkill at this point specially as the doc is dead. This is my first game so not sure how the cop roles work...does he have to reveal himself to publish any info he found or can he send info to mod to post it up (as happened in the last game)?

Ok here's the deal. We have 8 alive, of which 3 are scum. If we mis-lynch tonight and mafia night kills, it's 3 v. 3 and mafia automatically win the tie breaker. We have here whatcha'd call a lynch or lose scenario boys, and I believe I found us a way out of it. Before I tell my plan I want to make sure that we all are in agreement that we have a cop amongst us. Once we reach a consensus I'll tell you the rest.

I think there is a cop. Surprised he has made it so far though.

Yeah went back and checked. Mod posted the role of player who died - 2 vanilla townies and 1 doc. So the cop is still alive.

I want to hear your plan but why should it matter if there's a consensus before you tell us the rest?

I agree that there is most likely a cop or at least some other power role remaining.

Typically, the mod does not post results. Last game was the first time I've seen that.

 

The cop has to be careful about revealing himself because when he does, that puts a target on him for the mafia night-kill.

He can hope there is a doc to protect him but in our situation with a doc already dead, a second doc is almost too much to hope for.

 

So if the cop knows something, he has to be subtle about guiding the town to act on his information without declaring he is the cop.

For instance if he knows someone is scum from an investigation, he can use some other reason to place suspicion and try to get a lynch that way. Or if an investigation reveals townie, then he can amke a defense of a townie about to be lynched or at least try to sway the lynch vote to a player of unknown affiliation.

 

The cop should also leave hints of his investigations in case he is night-killed. We can go back through the posts of the revealed cop and get information that way.

1st of all Kevin seems a little hostile towards me. It's widely accepted that in a game of this size that it is standard to have 3 mafia. KevinH has played enough games to know this and the fact that he quazi attacked me for that assumption felt odd. My spidey gobblers are tingling if you know what I mean. Moving on to next phase in 3.....2....1...

Ok, it's lynch or lose amiright? Time to get serious men, here's my plan.

 

I am a confirmed townie and I know of one other player still alive who is a confirmed townie as well and who can also back up my statements.

 

If you're with me so far that's 2 out of 8 townies confirmed.

I am asking the cop to role claim. This will give us 3 confirmed townies. The cop has also had the ability to investigate 2x's. Assuming that he did not investigate a dead person he will know the identity of two more townies, bringing the odds of lynching someone heavily in our favor. Even if the cop investigated one living player and one dead player we will still have 4 out of 8 towns people identified.

 

We will be putting our cop at risk for sure. He will most certainly be night killed. However, if we do not successfully lynch tonight, we lose the game.
