[KZ-01] EVIL WON: The Kingdom of Kaardoli

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I'm back. I'll look over this page tomorrow and post something constructive, but I wanted to check in.

I apologize for my earlier posts. I had was assigned a bit of flavor, and it (rightfully so) was not taken very well. I am now able to get back to my normal self.

That said, I'll get back to constructive play tomorrow. I look forward to it!

After I read that KevinH was assigned flavor, I wondered if you were playing a part as well. I'm glad that you were! :)

This game is hard to figure out. Obviously Kazi has spent a lot of time developing the flavor of the game and a lot of our roles seem to be pretty involved. KevinH and Beebs were told to speak in character, which I never was. I was given a pretty descriptive background story though. I also find it interesting that Kazi gave the role of bard to KevinH. It seems to be custom made for Kevin and not assigned randomly. I wonder if power roles were given out to certain people as well.

I believe the town needs to start lynching before the majority of us get turned.

Vote: Nerau

Reason: He's quiet, too quiet

Sounds convincing enough. I can support the above view, so ... Vote: lynch Nerau

I actually had a feeling you were posting IC, but looking back on your posts, I couldn't say it for certain.

What do you mean by "I can get back to my normal self" though? Does your character change over time?

the rest of the people seem to be alive and well

the exception of course was the poor cow Belle

so maybe there's a hint in there

we need to study it with care

as written above there's room either way

but lynching is probably the best way

I'm thinking that wasn't meant as an insult. Although I may well deserve it if it is.

What do you mean by "I can get back to my normal self" though? Does your character change over time?

No. I only meant I'll no longer be playing a jerk.

I just wrote a long post where I'd vote for Nerau as well. I can think of plenty of flavor reasons why a converter scum would put into a partial silence flavor role, be he cultist/werewolf/vampire. However, I think It'd be tough to bring the hammer down on Nerau for this, he's not the only quiet one and I am not interested in starting a bandwagon.

While I usually want to go for a lynch, here the stakes are even more dire. Lynching a townie means two less townies and one more scum, not just one less townie as is typical. The stakes I think are too high for me at this point. With a few possible, certainly interesting an potentially powerful roles out there I'll wait and see for another night.

KevinH could you pen a poem glorifying your pro lynch stance before the day is out. I may be convinced otherwise.

Also, this just occured to me. Could the turned townies still be townies in posting? Although they know they know they are scum (or not) and count toward the scum majority, could they maintain their autonomy enough to win with the town and hence be helping in dialogue and hurting in the majority? Freshly turned vampires, incubating parasites, werewolves waiting for a full moon to be realized etc.

The beauty of no-lynch - it worked once for us

All townies alive, and singing the chorus

If we no-lynch again, the cop will still live

And when he chooses, more info he'll give

All the talk of townies changing to scum

Could possibly be a theory that's dumb

Maybe it's right, maybe it's wrong

We'll know later, and make it a song

Still in a pinch

Vote: No lynch

I'm not sure if No Lynch is the best option here, but we don't really have much to go on. Ccabal seems sure there's a doc and is role claiming something, KevinH is sure there's a cop and is apparently a poet, though I don't know if that means anything lol.

for now I'll go with Vote: No Lynch and see if anything interesting happens that might change that, though, without any deaths yet there probably won't be.

As a general rule from now on, Kevin should be required to only speak in poems :D

As for lynch or no lynch, I think we should definitely lynch. Even if we kill a townie at least we'll have more information heading into the next day. Plus, I'm still leaning towards the werewolf theory. By the way, did anyone else notice that Kazi once again wrote the death scene and said "killer", not killers? His wording for this game is very well written and is certainly not just a coincidence.

ccabal86, why did you come out and say you have a power role? You said you were surprised that no one has asked you more about your role, but what more would you tell us? It seems you were hesitant to give more information about your role, that is why I did not press you further. I have to ask again, why come out in the first place?

I wasn't expecting people to ask more about the role, but I was expecting some sort of reaction along the lines of "hm, that's interesting", or at least a question as to why I roleclaimed. People just seemed to miss it along with KevinH's roleclaim. I just want to see what happens this night.

My role-claim came out of desperate need

The instruction to stop I couldn't heed

Unfortunately I have no special power

But the seeds of my rhymes may soon flower

Haiku allowed too

Five seven five I can do

Bonus this rhymes true

as written above there's room either way

Why the change. While I enjoy you reading you posts very much, I'm in the dark as to your motivations. You're unfortunately unclear on your rationale, which may be more of a symptom of your role than your reasoning. Could you elaborate on your change in stance?

I agree, I'm coming to think we ought to give great credence to Kaziocore's posts. I doubt he'd go to all that trouble for nothing, it's what makes being the Mod interesting. While I think there may be one "killer" behind it all, I doubt there will only be one in the end.

I'm wondering why ccabal86 role claimed as well. I didn't comment because I didn't want to draw too much attention to it. I'm uncertain about the wisdom behind the reveal.

Anyone have any thoughts about just what a turner could do to us in regards to the end of my last post?

While the town will have to lynch soon

I decided we should wait another moon

Nobody seems like they deserve to die

Odds favor a townie and we'd wonder why

So let's wait and go to one more night

Maybe the morning shows a happy sight

Well I really don't see anyone suspicious enough to lynch at the moment. I have been reading the discussions and trying to decide what the best course of action would be at this point and I have come to the conclusion that lynching a random person would hurt the townies more than the scum. if its a werewolf scenario than there's probably just 2 scums at this point so there is 2 out of 13 probability of hitting one of them on a random lynch.

Heeence, I will wait and see what the next night brings.

Vote: No Lynch

Prodded.

I'm still going with that there is more than one scum and that we should lynch someone. I also think that the unsuccessful night-kill was a fluke (either roleblock, doc, ect).

Vote: Nerau

Already has two votes on him and hasn't said a word since playing (I think) which I believe is an acceptable choice.

I have nothing productive to add, save to point out that I can't really see us not voting (i.e. voting no lynch) again. Given the sparse indications and almost no information it seems we can only benefit if we "remove" the current weakest link.
