Setting: In the king’s hunting grounds in the peaceful and quiet Kingdom of Kaardoli.

Night is fast approaching.
The hunting grounds are gradually becoming dark.
We see two of the King Kleitos’s bodyguard.

Hargar: Hello? Is someone over there?
Herbane: Is there a problem? Should we alert the king?
Hargar: No… Maybe I was imagining it…
Herbane: You’re too paranoid and cautious Herbane. Ever since King Kleitos has ruled over Kaardoli, nothing much happens except for occasional goblins that are anything but nuisance.
Hargar: I’m scared Herbane. You knew that I get easily afraid but you forced me to sign up for this.

A roaring sound is heard in a distance.

Hargar: Herbane!
Herbane: For the last time, we’re in the hunting grounds. It’s perfectly normal to hear those kinds of sounds.
Hargar: Perfectly normal? I don’t recall any creature howling like that. Besides, I think the king is taking too long with his business. I think I’m going to check him out.
Herbane: I’m sorry I’m not listening. What did you say?

Herbane notices that Hargar is missing.

Herbane: Hargar! Where are you now?
Hargar: H-h-h-erbane!
Herbane: What is it now?
Hargar: T-t-he k-k-i-ng is DEAD!

As the two men were talking a dark figure approaches.

Robed Man: It would be terrible if you alerted everyone, don’t you agree?

The roaring sound grew louder.
The men SCREAM.

NIGHT 0 begins and PMs have been sent.
DAY 1 will begin after a majority of players have confirmed.

Who is King Kleitos?

King Kleitos is the king and this game is called the Kingdom of Kaardoli because the mod says so.

I'm happy to be alive and well in the kingdom with everyone. I'll post more later but I did find a certain quote from the mod that I found interesting.

Why does it just say culprit and not the plural form. I would guess that due to this grammar and the game set up that there is one "mafia" who has the power to turn others into mafia during the night phase. Like a vampire or werewolf.

I'm happy to be alive and well in the kingdom with everyone. I'll post more later but I did find a certain quote from the mod that I found interesting. Why does it just say culprit and not the plural form. I would guess that due to this grammar and the game set up that there is one "mafia" who has the power to turn others into mafia during the night phase. Like a vampire or werewolf.

Eh, I don't know. I think if that were the case, the mafia side would be pretty underpowered, regardless of the assumedly strong abilities of said person. After all, mafia usually wins by "overpowering" the town in some numbers. If there was only one mafia, the faction would have to get everyone killed, save for 1 townie without ever being detected/lynched. Seems pretty imbalanced.

I was thinking they could convert one townie every night until they are stopped. Like when a vampire bites you, you also turn into a vampire.

It's dumb to think there is only one mafia. I agree there is probably someone you can turn us, but I don't think they are alone. The mafia having only one power role seems unlikely. I got the same vibe reading the setup, sounds like a vampire or a warewolf scenario.

Theoretically, this would mean that if we fail to get the vampire on day 1, and he can "replicate", they might as well reveal who they are as they'd still win. Town can only lynch 1 person, while the other can spread the infection, and there would still be 2 scum, and 1 less townie. Even if town plays perfectly from that point on, scum would still win.

Thats assuming Mafia converts one townie each and every night. But I think there will be a risk involved in turning a townie for the scum also. What happens if they try to turn a cop (assuming there is one with 13 people in the game)? Maybe scum gets revealed or dies? So I think scum will be very careful on who they want to turn as they will have no idea if they will be approaching a townie power role or not.
