Game Mechanics

Rules

1. 
    
   
2. Players who do not post for 48 hours will be prodded. A player who fails to post within 24 hours of being prodded will be replaced.
   
3. A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to possible replacement without further notice (player-requested prods do not count towards this total).
    
   
4. Days will last 5 days. Nights will last 2 days.
   
5. Extensions are given only in extreme circumstances.
   
6. Deadlines may be shortened if activity is too low, or if all Night choices have been received early.
    
   
7. Normally, a simple majority of all living players must agree on one person (via voting) for a Lynch to occur (simple majority = ½ # of living players +1, rounded down).
   
8. If no one has a simple majority of votes at deadline, only a half-majority is needed. (simple majority / 2, rounded up).
   
9. If there are 2 players with the same amount of at least half-majority votes at deadline, then I will lynch the one who reached that number of votes first.
   
10. During day you may vote using bold (Vote: PlayerX). If you do not wish to lynch, you may bold Vote: No Lynch.
    
11. You may Vote: No Lynch - a simple majority of these vote types is usually required to send the game to Night phase without a Lynch.
    
12. Once a player has reached a simple majority of votes no further unvoting will change their fate.
    
13. When a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players may continue to post.
    
14. If you are killed (either via lynch or night kill) you may no longer post except for a brief “Bah!”-type post that contains NO game related information.
    
15. Any player with a Night action may instead submit a “No Action” PM to let the Mod know that you do not want to perform your expected action that Night phase.
     
    
16. Darkened Yellow text is reserved for the Mod.
    
17. No invisible/small/encrypted text is allowed.
    
18. Editing of posts is not allowed
    
19. Please bold all requests to the Mod so that they don’t get missed.
    
20. Rules violations will be dealt with according to their severity (up to and including a Modkill) as the Mod sees fit.
    
21. Modkills may be accompanied by a change to day/night. The offender’s role will be changed to Neutral Survivor, which guarantees a loss.
    
22. No set of rules can be all-encompassing. I reserve the right to take any action at any time, for any reason.
    However, I try to be extremely reasonable. If you have any questions about the game, rules, or players, please ask the Moderator via PM.

You are a Mafia Goon.

 

Abilities:

Night-kill - Barring Night 0 which is a Cop Headstart, you may use your night-kill on any night.

 

Win Condition:

You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.

You are a Town Cop

 

Abilities:

Investigation - Each night phase, you may investigate one player in the game by PM'ing the mod. You will get results back in the form of Town/Mafia.

Mental State - You do not know your sanity.

 

Win Condition:

You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

are you kidding? i was the first one to post and asked if we wanted to share our results... i didn't know if we wanted to share the results right away..then all you guys posted either late at night or early in the morning when i'm sleeping. how is that my fault that i was the last to post my result? all i know is that i am a cop and that d3mon is a cop. and now Imran is looking very scummy to me, so please don't make a mistake and vote for me. or at the very least, if you do decide to lynch me, go get Imran tomorrow and then i can say i told you so >.<

Oh really, it's "clear from the very beginning" please tell me where it says to post your results for everyone to see. if anyone here is acting scummy it's you. all i did was post my investigation result and then try to come up with a possible reason for all the results. i never even said the scum was you. i just said IF there wasn't a scum investigated then it probably was you. now you're just accusing me on the basis of "he posted his results last! he's scum! derp derp!" no actual reason to vote for me. please, everyone else, if you have any sense you'll see that i am not the scum and the only one acting scummy here is imran...

Imran Ehsan, Xx Karl xX, and Rafay each have a 1/3 chance of being scum in my opinion.

 

(I believe Karl could easily be townie and post last.)

 

However, if we lynch Rafay and he's town then we are faced with a 50% guess between Imran and Karl.

 

If we lynch either Imran or Karl and are wrong, we could potentially be 100% sure of the remaining scum, depending on investigation results.

 

I also think there is value in seeing the discussion while two players are at L-1.

None of us townies know if we are sane or not. Why shouldn't D3mon think that he's sane and that his results are correct?

Suppose you lynch me and get proof I'm town. Karl and Imran are both alive with the same day 1 investigation history.

I investigate D3mon:

if I get scum, then I am insane and Rafay is scum

if I get town, then I am either naive or sane with Rafay confirmed town

 

D3mon investigates Karl:

if he gets town, then D3mon is insane and Karl is scum

if he gets scum, then D3mon is paranoid

 

Rafay investigates Karl:

if he gets town, then Rafay is insane and Karl is scum

if he gets scum, then Rafay is paranoid

 

Karl investigates Rafay:

if he gets scum, then Karl is sane and Rafay is scum

if he gets town, then Karl is either naive or sane with Rafay confirmed town

 

Feel free to substitute Imran for Karl in the following analysis.

Well there's two types of cops in the game who give wrong investigation results. There's the insane guy who always gets the opposite result and there is the paranoid guy who thinks everyone is scum. So there's 50% chance your investigation was wrong. You have no way of knowing.

 

In any case, I doubt you will get a lynch on kenvinh. The votes are split between me and karl. If your switch your vote to karl we may get the scum before he has a chance to make a night kill and spreads his nefarious lies further !

lol..it was just bad luck that both Rafay and karl happened to investigate kevinH after i posted a fake result on him. I had no chance after that. Even if i survived the lynch on Day 1, i would have been lynched on Day 2.
