I'm glad you made it kilgor To those that don't know, kilgor is in my tech circle. This aid round I sent, "play IRON mafia" as my Aid Description and boom, I got one!

To answer your question kilgor, mafia is an uninformed majority against an informed minority. Most games have 3-4 bad guys who know who each other are and can talk to each other privately. The rest of the players will be good guys but they don't know who else is good or bad. Each day we talk and vote on who who want to lynch. When they die we find out if they were good or bad. That night the bad guys get to kill one person from the town. The game continues until only one side remains. The fun of it is trying to figure out who is who through conversation, analysis, and voting patterns.

It's like chess, easy to learn, lifetime to master. I hope you and the other new players enjoy the games as much as I do. It's one of my most favoritest and goodest bestest things in IRON.

I know Kaziocore was waiting to get at least 14 players, which we now have, so I would expect the game to start shortly.

I know what the anime death note is. I'm guessing it may have some relation to that?

Death note, I have no idea what it is but it sounds like a good time. Going to do some research.....ok, looked in the wiki for Death Note. Basically it's a anime Japanese thing, which appears to be right up Kaz's alley. Anyway, the Death Note is a book that was sent down to heaven from the Gods. When the user writes someones name in this book they die. Not sure how Kaz will translate all of this into mafia but it will be interesting to see what happens.

It could be something along the lines of, each night the player with the notebook writes a name, they die. Now how it would be worked so that it is not just the normal townies/baddies with a different theme, IDK.

If I recall the person writing in the death note must know the name and face of the person they are trying to kill so this could potentially be a factor limiting how/who the one with the notebook can kill. Later on I recall there being a character who traded half their life for the ability to see peoples names (and time left in life i think) just by looking at them. This could play in as another factor potentially.

I don't know how you could use this to create a mafia game but I also have never played mafia before so ¯\(°_o)/¯

He mailed me. And I linked him to this thread. He doesnt have log-in problems, he can access the forum fine. I think he is just confused about the whole sign in thing. He hasnt read my mail yet but if he doesnt show up still probably we should look for another guy.
