The Rules

Only the following roles may exist in this game: Vanilla Dwarf, Sane Cop, Doctor, Vigilante, Roleblocker, Mason, Innocent Dwarf, Jailkeeper, Tracker, Watcher, Gunsmith, Miller, Bodyguard, Role Cop, Doublevoter, Hider, Neighbor, Neighborizer, Jack of All Trades, Goblin Goon, Goblin Traitor, Goblin Godfather, Goblin Framer, Goblin-aligned versions of above roles.
The roles may contain any of the following modifiers: Even/Odd Night, Non-Consecutive Night, X-Shot, Bulletproof, Neighbor, Compulsive, Macho, Weak, Backup (with or without primary role present).

Sample role PM:

You are Bombur, a Vanilla Dwarf. Your power is in your vote. You win when the Company controls the game.

During the Day phase, each player may speak and vote inthread.
If a player receives the majority of the available votes during the Day, they are lynched.
At deadline, a player with half-majority will be lynched.
You may vote No Lynch.
After the Day, the game goes to Night.
The game thread is closed during the Night. The Goblins may speak to each other at Night. All Active Roles may submit actions via PM at Night.
The Goblins can, as a faction, kill one player at Night.
After the Night, the game goes to Day.
All dead players (lynched or killed) can no longer participate the game.
Basic rules for maintaining the integrity of the game thread are in effect (i.e. players may not quote their Role PMs, nor may they discuss the game outside the game thread unless otherwise permitted, etc.)
The game is comprised of Goblins (mafia) and the Company (town).
The game is won when only one faction remains in the game, or nothing can prevent the same.

Mass role-claiming is not allowed.
Game Days will last as many real-life days as there are players alive.
Game Nights will last 48 hours but will include at least one weekday..

1. Alternate_Tree (Great Goblin, Goblin Godfather) was lynched Day 3.
3. D3mon (Thorin Oakenshield, Role Cop and member of the Company) was killed Night 3.
5. Imran Ehsan (Azog, the Goblin Doctor) was lynched Day 4.
4. Electric Mango (Fili, the Mason and member of the Company) was killed Night 4.
9. Noahband (Bolg, Goblin Odd-Night Tracker) was lynched Day 5.

The Company had been formed. Their mission was to recover treasure, but their immediate need was to make it past the Goblins.

Bombur, Vanilla Dwarf (NPC), had been killed. The Company needs to find the Goblins in their midst.

It is Day 1. Deadline is Saturday, February 2.

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch, or 4 at deadline.

Man, gotta be suspicious of Karl since he hasn't read the book, but anyway I would vote for some time to hear what people have to say before voting to lynch anyone just yet.

I'm also slightly confused how there would be a gun for the gunsmith to detect, since gunpowder wasn't discovered yet in Middle Earth, but that's just me being a super nerd

People this is the Random Voting Stage. I will quote the wiki

The purpose of random voting is to spur the game into action by causing players to act in revealing ways. For instance, a wagon on someone may cause them to panic, or a player may become a bit overeager in wanting to put votes down on players, or a player may suggest a Policy Lynch on another one (with some players agreeing and some disagreeing), etc. In this way, events of significance can come about. The first time many players find something they seriously want to lynch someone over, they will remark that their vote is "no longer random".

The guns produced by the gunsmith is just for flavor. It's possible that he could make bow and arrows instead of guns. The important thing is the essence of the role.

The names are only for flavor so feel free to reveal them.
The intent of the no mass-claiming rule is to not have everyone give their power and then discover some broken combination that probably exists. If a few players want to reveal roles, that is acceptable. In fact, some roles would be best played if they were revealed early.

'Sup company! After KevinH assigned Imran, Killgor, Chaplain, and myself the task of carrying this freak'n treasure-full metal crate (he told us it would only be a chest) weighing as much as a ship cargo container while the rest of you took point ahead equipped with night goggles in search of goblinscum, we stopped for rest under the shade of this wide oak tree at which time I got to thinking. I looked at KevinH's list given to us and noticed that those of us carrying this freak'n crate are assigned prime numbers! It would be just like KevinH to do that to designate us as non-goblinscum cuz of his pension for machivellian numerology.
Since I have this gift of Odd-night Watcher I'm looking for suggestions from the rest of us during the remainder of the day as to who I should watch tonight.

From mafia wiki:

The Watcher is an informative role that can target a player at Night and learn who, if anybody, targeted that player the same Night (but not what actions were performed on that player).

You should keep your target private. If scum knows who you'll target they will not pick the same person as you. That said, a lot of mafia like to target more experienced mafia players to gain an advantage over the group.
