How? You realize "The Saint" was a human spy, right? He's not claiming Saint Christopher [patron saint of travelers].

We know Mr. Kevin is a mortal man. Now that by itself isn't guilt, since there are a significant few of you mugs who are mortal and human.

I thought the only other "mortal" was the Mad Doctor?

What's more is he says he has an immunity to lead poisoning... What's itching my noodle is why the palooka would say such a thing.

Damn hookers. Talk too much. So now you know why I was more than willing to hammer and test the Super Saint claim. Doesn't make as much sense now that the cat is out of the bag. I'd rather absorb a shot or two at night at this point...

Look, it comes down to this; Kevin is lying. We know this much. The only thing left to parse is why.

I think the more important part here is the name claim over the role claim. He is claiming to be a human. I just can't make sense of a human being on our side outside of the mad doctor. Seems almost like a miller claim. The problem with being a miller is that a miller isn't ALSO a bomb/super saint.

Anybody defending Kevin at this point needs to tell me EXACTLY why they think he is Town and explain how his claim makes sense.

My only defense for kevinh is that possibly the saint is on our side and not against us because a saint is not inherently good.

I guess we will find out, at worst we lose two people with low tier abilities or no abilities. 

 

There isn't really any choice for me of who to lynch, I usually would only want to vote the most inactive and such but there isn't really anyone inactive in this game.

Agreed. Nothing else makes sense at the moment, as we have a chance to hit mafia as well. Not lynching removes even this chance.

 

Action as opposed to inaction + hitting mafia making the latter inclusive with as well, in the sense that we are not being idle but are rather taking action and have a chance of killing mafia with it.

That's what I use to think but when you previously being scum and half the people are not all that active you realize there is a good chance when you're town that the same is true.

It doesn't make much sense for kevinh to claim to be that character, that doesn't necessarily mean I think kevinh is scum.

Although it could be a play by kevinh in an attempt to confuse us.

also, as yates points our, he is the saint, a cool fictional tv spy. he really stands out as opposed to my type of char and as opposed to the type of char that is in the example role pm. also, robert and yates also seem to have the same type of class as i do, so i'm counting them as townies.

 

the rest though... you people make me wonder what's happening around here.

If you lynch me, you are lynching a townie.  That's the point I'm trying to make.

 

If I was scum, I could claim any of a number of Horror Film Characters.

 

Look closely at those that want to lynch. 

 

Here are some more observations about what I see in this game from the rules:

• There's a rule that you can't claim to be scum with others, regardless of the truth of that claim.  What's that about?
• Quicktopic threads (plural) are referenced. There's more going on than just a single group of mafia.
• There are non-investigative type roles, investigative type roles, and protective abilities.
• Natural Action Resolution needed to be stated.
• We were told to expect the unexpected.

So do you want more or less townies alive as the game unfolds? 

 

I believe that there are some power roles in play and would like to let them do their work before we lynch anyone.

well. After reading peoples thoughts. Looked at the links. Reviewed my notes. I'm not buying the role claim. I don't see how it fits. It seems wrong to me. On one hand he could of made a horrible choice for a fake claim. This puzzles me as I think (could be wrong) he is one of the more exp ones playing here. (me assuming). So on the other hand I've be in a situation simular to this where people didn't believe me and I was right all allong and its very frustrating. So as much as maybe killgor may want to hammer him to test this I'm not putting him at L-1. As the role claim looks like something I doubt someone would really try to fake claim on there own. It dose seem with his last comment though. Why say that? As if behind the scenes. "just do it.".

 

Kevin thoughts on most likely town are interresting and surprising. Differn't from mine to say say the least. While atm I think killgor is more likely to be town. I wouldn't put it down like he dose. Yates, Shepard I find more questionable then he puts it. Although knowing Theo from IRC I find it that his posts and words aren't the same as Im used to. So I've hade my eye on him. It might be nothing. And Still day 1.

About Natural Action Resolution, this is the order of priority:

 

 

 

1. Copy
2. Hide
3. Bus
4. Block
5. Redirect
6. Protect
7. Miscellaneous
8. Kill
9. Recruit
10. Inspect

 

Usually it's not stated in the rules so one can assume there are some uncommon roles that make the order of actions complicated, soooo a glance at the list we can see there is a probability that there might be a bus and/or redirector, tho that fickle mod might have anticipated this by using weirder roles :|
