We could always hold a concurrent event in London for us Europeans without deep enough pockets / time off work to migrate to the USA xD.

 

This please. Europeans need visas to travel to the US as well, so a separate event in Europe would be ideal

 

 

Both events could run skype or something to try and combined it.

 

This would be really interesting. Essentially two parties running concurrently (one in Europe and one in the States) and being combined by a giant skype call or video conference.

 

 

But how will we then attend both also

I propose a single meeting roughly halfway: Azores.

However, there are two big "IF":

If I can convince my husband to come with me, can I come

If I can convince spider, for there is no food problem: tunas, swordfishs, sharks, octopuses - she catch all

We can let vampir make the desserts: the famous sachertorte modified with orange marmalade instead of apricots marmalade and the worldwide renowed kirschtorte with candled kumquats instead of cherries and cointreau instead of cherry liqueur! Oh, even the gulab jamun made by spider is exceptional!

I cannot drive my boat to Azores: it's too far.

And we can't go with arbaletes on a plane: last time Spider have carry her arbaletes on a plane, airport police checked us for more than an hour: "mylady, this seems more a tank gun than a scuba speargun" they said.... :-)

Good choice.

Some years ago we went on Trinidad and Tobago during carnival: really spectacular, better than Rio de Janeiro's most famous one (even the carnival on Tenerife is better than Rio, according me, but maybe the Trinidad one is the very best of the world).
