Once upon a time ...

Started to do an informal vote count, the decided to wait til tomorrow on that due to lack of time. So we had a spike of votes on dman and no-lynch, now I think Robert is at 2 votes? At least Robert is here to defend himself, somewhat. Still waiting to hear from Dman. 

 

Would also be nice to get the mod's ruling on Nick's question - whether prodding his RL friend dman offline to check the game (without otherwise discussing game content) is acceptable.

Also, why is Robert at 2 votes anyway? Lyner voted because he was "too scummy"( Lyner), and Kevin was proving his intent to participate.

There's no reason to pile votes on a player when he hasn't even posted a single thing.

 

I would rather lynch someone who doesnt post or vote for anyone than someone who is posting and contributing. Whats your reason for keeping them alive?

 

If there is a replacement coming in, then thats another matter, but for now he is the only one not posting so my vote will stay.

 

Yes so by your logic, if everyone follows suit, we immediately lynch a player 2 days

after the game started without even waiting for his post.

This is the almost the same as no lynching on D1 minus a player.

even if we get 7 guys on someone very quickly, it still gives us some interesting information on who bandwagoned to drive in the lynch (provided he turned out to be townie).

It's like saying to the players that the best course of action is to lynch inactive people but

be prepared because you'll automatically be suspected the next day provided he's town.

I think this would lead to a town lynch the next day.

No. If mafia is a simple game of probability where we lynch randomly, this would be the prudent choice however you're

forgetting the fact the we are here to make intelligent guesses who town is or who mafia is.

No lynching on D1 would rob us the chance to do this. Since this is a closed game,

we will never know for sure whether there is a cop, tracker, watcher or not. 

 

Kaz, no one is going for a lynch on dman right now. We still have a while until days end, just putting pressure. I don't see what the big deal is about you being prodded either.

There's no pressure if the guy hasn't even appeared yet.

I think this a waste of time considering people are busy and after posting that one post about voting dman,

they could go on with their lives and come back a day or two after that (remember scum could do this)

 

Well at least I could start with something here like with Nick.

Thanks for the vote count d3mon! We seem pretty spread out, but that recent spike on Robert felt notable. 

 

With d3mon's blessing, please do go prod dman, Nick - we can't afford to have someone idle out unless we've got a replacement on deck (which I don't think we do). Could throw up a thread asking if anyone wants to be a backup I guess, but let's give dman a little more time now that there's a viable path to getting him active again. 

 

As for the rest of this... with 12 people, I'd guess there are 3 scum instead of the usual 2? Only one who got up to 4 thus far is dman; could look at that set of votes to see if it's a wagon the scum felt safe on, but give the sheer wave of 'lynch the inactive!' I don't know if we can rely on that.
