The Camping Site - Mafia Game thread

Featured Replies

My opinion on the no-lynch debate has been take it as it comes with the day. If we have a lot of info by the end of the day provided by how people act, lynching probably won't provide much more and will just be an unnecessary loss. That being said, we're unlikely to get much info on Day 1.

If we have very little info at the end of the day, lynching won't provide much either, as whoever it was that was lynched won't provide much info either, has we have nothing to go on. However, we have a lot of people, so that probably won't happen.

If we have a fairly normal amount of info, then lynching is usually a good option. We have enough info to go on, but not so much that it will have been unnecessary to get more, compared to the loss of a townie.

That being said, it's page two so i'm getting 1 random vote in at least.

Lyner is here, and no one has voted for him :o

lol, it said camping site, so I thought, camp fire and we were all going to tell ghost stories. Without a role, but I could post in the thread, I decided to pull a random story from childhood and choose a random name on the list. Since you were scum last time, and I pointed it out, before I died just makes it more funny.

So if I say who the scrum team is via my detective work, am I going to NKed again? I know the odds are against me predicting the scum team, but i find it rather interesting.

While, I don't much like day 1 lynch's, there is something called, jumping to early on the no lynch band wagon to me. Kevin and Nick jumping on together so quickly is mildly disturbing. We need conversations and action to gain info. No lynchs provide nothing if we all vote no lynch on page 2...

Therefore, I gonna vote, and be entirly unethical on reading the player list.

VOTE KAZIO

Cause you haven't posted yet and I want you to post.

Last time I was the Mod, not scum; easy mistake to make, I know  ;) Though I will agree you DID list both the scum as suspects on day 1 that game. Maybe that's part of why they killed you! If you manage to do it again - who knows?

On a more serious note, your Kazio vote I don't disagree with - yeah, we need to get everyone posting. Protip for all the new players; post early, post often! If you go silent for an extended period of time, that CAN be used against you!

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to reach majority and 4 to reach half majority.

No Lynch is the current wagon leader at L-5.

Deadline is November, 25 2014 12:00 PM EST.

I agree with getting lurkers to start posting - but putting any more votes on dman would reach the 4-person half-majority, so instead I'll just point a threatening finger and say, "SAY SOMETHING ALREADY!"

Also a little surprised to see Kazio so inactive; but then he was slow to sign up in the signup thread too. Tis a busy time of year after all...

We're at 4 on dman now, and this early in the day. The prods are definitely in order. I can't say that them being idle benefits the game; but I don't like the idea of everyone just using the 'vote for idles!' easy way out, either. Such a sentiment doesn't really generate meaningful voting info, because both active town and scum will pile onto it - which completely defeats the purpose of doing anything on day 1.

To keep matters *somewhat* even for now (or at least have a second option available), I'll swap my vote accordingly:

Unvote

Vote: No-Lynch

Why you bandwagon :V

Vote: Nick the Great

I also note the people who voted dman besides Nick. You guys are being opportunistic.

There's no reason to pile votes on a player when he hasn't even posted a single thing.

This game just started yesterday and I already got a prod.

This is unacceptable (and against the rules as it says "72 real life hours without posting")

Also I'm tired at the lynch/no-lynch debate so I'll just assume those in favor of it are most likely scum.

We need drama and stuff at D1 so we can have some conversation topic in the next day.
