There can be no limit on free speech, not in the U.S. anyway. Anyone that wants to anywhere else... good luck with that.

We will be dealing with this for a very long time. They have been killing people for centuries over their religion and it will never end until they end it. The problem that we face is they will not keep it contained in their little area of the world anymore. They are now bringing their grief to us, and stupid leaders are allowing them to do it. When they hit again... and they will hit again... we will all get pissed off enough to go over there and destroy more countries. This will continue until the world unites under one front to eliminate the threat. I have always known that we will have no problem drilling through glass for the oil.

Just look at Edward Snowden lol, denounced citizen and branded traitor for exposing the truth.

Most of that was for leaving the country to a known rival. Granted, he might still have been convicted, but he didn't give the court system a chance, either. If he had really wanted to bring attention to the issue, he would have left for a friendly nation or stayed in the states and let his trial/deportation drudge up media publicity. Would it be a big chance? Yes. But he'd already taken a bigger one by violating his contract with his employer.

I'm happy that he blew the whistle. Going to Russia, though, makes him either an idiot or an obvious spy.

Edward Snowden was branded a traitor because he took his information to the press and then defected to Russia. If he took his information to Senator Rand Paul he could have testified on the Senate floor and avoided prosecution with congressional protection. There is a huge difference when you could have worked with your country to expose shit, but instead you expose shit and take your information to the enemy. He could have been a hero whistleblower, instead he chose to be a traitor. You know what sucks the most is I don't think any of it changed anything. The NSA has not skipped a beat.

Why does Snowden get seen as a hero? One of the reasons for there being security clearance is so information doesn't get leaked. He broke the law and ran to Russia to avoid prosecution.  Anyone with security clearance has the ability to report unethical behavior to the therefore designated people instead Snowden decided that he was above the law and went to the media. Breaking the NDA because it's the "truth" doesn't mean it isn't breaking the NDA, he knew what he signed himself up for and the consequences.

I do not agree with Bill Mahr often, but sometimes the Libertarian part of me goes "yep" in a big way.

On freedom of speech and Islamic terrorism... he gets it.

Maybe i'm paranoid and have watched too many Prison break-like shows with corrupt law enforcement, but I don't see how whistle blowing on the government will ever have worked out well for him by reporting it to the same people he is whistle blowing about - the government, he probably would've ended up dead or confined in a undisclosed prison and no one would ever be aware.

Just lookup Chelsea Manning (Bradley Edward Manning)

I agree it was wrong thing to do, but circumstances like this is where I can conclude two wrongs do make a right.

Although the NSA are probably still invading citizens privacy, we are more aware now than before and that's what matters.

About Snowden not really being seen as a hero, I disagree and I hope the majority of people that are aware see him as a hero.

Because of his leaks, there are certain main stream businesses I no longer trust my data with and have since moved on to reliable encrypted sources.

00:48 Fernando[IRON] I will refer to you as Supreme Overlord Guru Samus

Only I have the baptismal power.

Samus because of your dedicated service to IRON; your high casualty count and aid given your fellow IRONers. I hear by baptize ye in Fire and blood. You rise as IRON!

You may now wear proudly in your Sig "I have been Baptized in Fire and Blood and emerged as IRON."

18:29 %FinsterBaby[IRON] • he can make you disappear. I've seen it

MVP(Mod’s Choice)= Master Samus; I think Master Samus played amazingly for a guy who claims it was his second only mafia game. He never led the town on him and that’s why he deserves this award. He was impressive in manipulating the town that led to the ultimate mafia victory.

Player of Mafia; Master Samus/emudevelopment (shared); I think both were instrumental in the town’s defeat. Both were manipulative and deceptive. They clearly came out as pro-town and looked like de-facto town leaders. They led the lynch wagon w/o anyone uncovering their true motives.

Samus, you should be proud that you've helped make an environment where people feel safe enough to share their experiences.

Samus is right it was the Patriot Act when NSA and the government agreed to step up and protect the security of the citizens of the US. However, they stepped over the line and invading people's privacy.

At least Anonymous already declared "war" on terrorists and ISIS itself.
