but this often leads to recursive reasoning, as anything that one player could think of is something another player could think of, in the form of "But that's just what he wants me to think, so I'll do the opposite…but maybe that's what he want's me to think…so I'll not do the opposite…but maybe that's what he want's me to think…etc, etc.". Such games are basically random, and therefore should be carefully considered before they are engaged in.

MVP(Mod’s Choice)= Master Samus; I think Master Samus played amazingly for a guy who claims it was his second only mafia game. He never led the town on him and that’s why he deserves this award. He was impressive in manipulating the town that led to the ultimate mafia victory.
Player of Mafia; Master Samus/emudevelopment (shared); I think both were instrumental in the town’s defeat. Both were manipulative and deceptive. They clearly came out as pro-town and looked like de-facto town leaders. They led the lynch wagon w/o anyone uncovering their true motives.
Samus, you should be proud that you've helped make an environment where people feel safe enough to share their experiences.

You say we have to lynch early but you haven't even voted for anyone yet.
By early, I just mean Day 1. Half-majority at deadline is still early by proper Day 1 No-Lynch standards.

Perhaps if we didn't all say that this game might be fun? The roles were re-randomized lets play this game like it is a new one.

This could potentially be you doing what mario was doing and exposing your role.
On the other hand, it could be you trying to confuse us and say that you are still a townie, when you are indeed scum or vice versa.
Just play the game and stop complaining, if Rafay says roles are random, they are random and if everyone wants to keep complaining about same roles, essentially exposing who they are it's going to be a repeat of what mario did and we might as well restart every other day 
The way I see it, we have such a small player base, the odds of someone getting the same role again is VERY HIGH.
Does anyone know how many different roles they are? (Rafay can you provide this?)
I'd like to create some stats on the odds of someone getting the same role again on several random tries.

8 different roles incl mafia goon and vanilla townie.
Just try it. If it is really easy guys then why don't you lynch the mafia players from the get go.......After my post start voting for the mafia. Lets see how many consecutive mafia kills you get. What's the hesitation?

The agenda is to lynch scum before they recruit us to their side.
Although if they could recruit everyone to their side before the game ends, then we'd all be winners.
