Oberyn had poison on his spear blades. The Mountain was taken up to Qyburn's lab where he would die until Cercei gave him permission to keep him alive using his "unsanctioned" skills. Qyburn warned her that the process would change him. She then asked if it would weaken him, and Qyburn replied rather sarcastically... "oh... no". The creature is Gregor Clegane. Too bad, I liked his brother and would have preferred him to live.

Are you a book reader? There's a pretty solid fan theory that The Hound managed to survive.

No, I have read no books. Anything I found out I got from Wiki sites, and that's only because I was curious about the fate of Syrio Forel and just could not stop reading. I "accidentally" read about the Red Wedding, the death of Oberyn, and how the Hound goes down this way. It was no fun knowing what would happen in the show... so I banned myself from searching further. I did read comments that talked about Jon Snow getting stabbed, but nothing about him getting killed. That's a surprise.

If the Hound lived, I would have thought that Brienne and Podrick would have found and helped him after the fight. This was not the case. I find it hard to believe that Arya would go down there and have an entire conversation with him, but the knightly Brienne and the wannabe knightly Podrick would just leave without at least giving him a decent burial. He was afterall, a Kingsguard.

There is just a part in the books where a red priest mentions burying "the hound." It kind of implies that Sandor tossed aside the hound and reformed his life. Probably not something that will be proven one way or the other though.

So, I didn't mention this because I watch low quality first releases, but I felt like Jon Snows eyes changed toward the end of the episode, they became lighter. I saw it being discussed online today and figured I'd mention it. Could be a trick of the light, but his eyes definitely seem to take on a lighter hue.

I'll have to watch the episode again for the 4th time to see this lightening of the eyes. I fast forward through Cersei's street scene... that's too long and painful to watch again. When I watched it the first time, for some reason, my 50" plasma was too dark to make out the words on the sign that the Nights Watch guys put up for their execution of Jon... I had to watch the extra "About The Eposode" thing where I was able to see that it said... "Traitor". May be time to buy a new television, my Pioneer has been good to me.

Could be possible John Snow turned is/was a white walker.. But what turned him and when? He didn't die at the wildings battle, so that's a no.

But thinking more about this, i'm pretty sure that white walker general touched his skin somewhere in that little skirmish??

I'm pretty sure you can be transformed into a white walker by touch alone

Look at this scene:

What do you guys think?

MVP(Mod’s Choice)= Master Samus; I think Master Samus played amazingly for a guy who claims it was his second only mafia game. He never led the town on him and that’s why he deserves this award. He was impressive in manipulating the town that led to the ultimate mafia victory.

Player of Mafia; Master Samus/emudevelopment (shared); I think both were instrumental in the town’s defeat. Both were manipulative and deceptive. They clearly came out as pro-town and looked like de-facto town leaders. They led the lynch wagon w/o anyone uncovering their true motives.

Well, as for why he turns and what he turns into, I dunno.

Personally, I think it will have something to do with his Stark blood.  The Wall was originally built by Bran the Builder, aka Brandon Stark.  It's very possible the WWs need Stark blood to bring it down.  I also think it is possible that Bran, Jons brother, somehow plays a role in his survival.  There is a character in the books, Coldhands, who seems to be a wight/or white walker, and a former member of the nights watch.  He has his memories and is very old and rides a big ass elk.  Nothing is really known about him, but he's the primary reason that people believe JS will be coming back.  No one knows how Coldhands was resurrected, though.  I mean, all the Starks to this point have shown some form of power because of their blood.  Bran has gone straight fantasy world, and even the girls had abnormally strong connections with their wolves (in the books Arya still enters the mind of her wolf through dreams, and her wolf is leading a giant wolf army and fucking shit up).

Regardless of what happens, I think there is just too much about Jon Snow that screams "he's not really dead."  If he is really dead, then you might as well just chalk this entire series up as a 'W' for the white walkers since the only 2 guys who seemed like they were going to do anything about it got off'd.

I thought this to be the true theory about Jon Snow. It makes sense because Ned just never struck me as the cheating on his wife type. He would take his promise to his dying sister to the grave, and to protect her son from certain death. I have known this theory for a long time, but I can't think of any way for it to come out now that everyone that knows about it has died, except maybe those 3 that were with Ned that survived the attack on the tower. It will be fun to see how it plays out.

Edit: Another thing that supports this theory is that Melisandre took quite an interest in Jon Snow. She knows Kings Blood when she sees it.

Fucking Crastor.

He's been seeding the WW population, in the books, dragons indicate rise of majic in the world, perhaps the rising power of WW indicates the same thing, the rise of magic is leading to their rising power and all host of wierd/unnatural stuff coming out of the wierd woods.

Also, the red priestess coming back to Castle Black is a strong indication she will make Jon rise again.

also

must read page for all the fans to generate theories:

“ Finally he looked north. He saw the Wall shining like blue crystal, and his bastard brother Jon sleeping alone in a cold bed, his skin growing pale and hard as the memory of all warmth fled from him. ”

This may be a foretelling of the events in Jon Snow's last chapter in A Dance with Dragons, opening the possibility that he is dead. Alternatively, Jon Snow may be confined to an ice cell in this vision.

“ Now you know, the crow whispered as it sat on his shoulder. Now you know why you must live.

"Why?" Bran said, not understanding, falling, falling.

Because winter is coming.[17]

This suggests Bran's importance in the coming events.
