I have heard Episode VIII was pushed back to December 17, 2017 but originally it was may 26, 2017? I have always thought it was December because of the pattern they are releasing the movies anyways.

Two reasons big movies are released in December. Holidays and Oscars.


Legal gun owners have 300 million guns, and over a trillion rounds of ammunition.

If we were the problem... you would know it.

Nope thats not the main reason why it was pushed back. It was the plot of the next episode.

Did they decide that it was too similar to "The Empire Strikes Back"? Not likely. Whatever reason they give, it's still probably Holidays and Oscars, and the 3rd one will be December 2019... but I really don't care one way or another.

Maybe its a possiblity you could see the parallels with sequel movie opener.
