Just hack them each day for a couple days and keep an eye on them. Resonators slowly lose charge each day. If they ever get low enough that you think you can do some damage to them, attack them then.

Well I have heard that the game's story opens up more when you hit level 8, but that's all I've heard.

 

Other than that, I'm not sure what the "point" is other than getting out in the world and traveling to see cool things (all while playing a game).

It does open up a lot around lvl 8... But on the down side at level 8 you don't level up anymore by just collecting AP... You have to actually unlock those evil achievements :ph34r:

I watch it then either drop it or burn it to make XM when there's none around... Other than entertainment they serve little purpose

Ahh, it's always fun to plan a nice little town excursion and finish with a bright field of green... Many, many layers over ;)

 

Think our overall gain from it was nearly 2k MUs

 

 

Now the sad part is in 3 days when it's getting demolished... So many resonators and shields will die :(

 

 

 

 

By the way as another tip I haven't yet seen... If attacking a portal with either Ultra Strike or XMP, if you hold the fire button you'll see an energy ring close in on your location... If you release the button while that ring is super close to you it will increase the damage/range of your attack, all the way up to 20%. This is a major advantage when attacking higher level portals, since we can easily burn XMPs galore on a shielded lvl 6 or 7 portal.
