We have never seen her retire for the night... she probably has to sleep like that, and it's a daily routine. Shah has it that she's 400 years old... looks about right, like I said, she needs to keep the collar.

Hahaha! That totally cracked me up, Lys!

How awesome was the blonde female knight! ( terrible with names, sorry ). And Podrick! Woot! You go Pod! Has Theon redeemed himself?

Has Theon redeemed himself?

We have to look at what Theon did, and determine if he didn't do it... would anything be different? Theon betrayed Robb Stark, this is fact. Theon took Winterfell, and killed a lot of people doing it. I really don't know if the Iron-born burned Winterfell, or if Ramsey burned it, but I don't think it matters because Theon didn't kill Robb and Catlyn... Walder Frey and Roose Bolton did, and I think that would have happened anyway.

Theon did cause Bran to travel north of the wall... which might end up being the greater good... but he still has no dick.

HIS NAME IS REEK

And so it shall be forever!  In reading the books I was so appalled by what happened to him that I stopped hating him (almost, not quite, but almost) and he didn't even lose his dick.

Soo I have a question. At the end of last season Tristan, Myrcella, Jamie and Bronn all went on the boat back to King's Landing. While all those daughters stayed at Dorne.

How can 2 of them be on the same boat as Tristan all of a sudden to kill him? :P They took a boat as well and went after them or what?

Several of the dorne scenes were very vague.

How did that big ass guard die from one stab to the back?

How was Tristan so stupid to choose to fight the weaker sister and turn his back on the stronger one?

Does the wife & her daughters feel they can rule dorne now? I heard they're all bastards or something

My only conclusion is that the directors wanted to conclude the dorne story as soon as. But it gets you wondering, are they still planning on coming after the Lannisters for their father & their aunt?

The woman was Prince Oberon's lover, but not his wife.  Those sisters are known as the "sandsnakes" and are the product of that relationship.  As "bastards" they should have no legal claim to the throne, but they clearly have  popularity among the military, so they could end up in charge.  Also, Dorne is not typical Westeros,  bi and homosexuality and out of wedlock births, are widely accepted there.

Interesting to see the power of women increasing on the series.  I think we aren't done with Dorne.  I think there is going to be a big hairy war that will further diminish Kings Landing's ability to rule Westeros at all.  FYI, in case you forgot, Dorne is part of Westeros, but on the other side of the narrow sea so they have enjoyed much greater independence from Kings landing.

I think Jaime and Cersei will bargain with the Tyrell's to free Loris and Margaery... and take out the Sparrows at the same time. They will then go to war with Dorne for revenge on Myrcella, with complete cooperation from the aggrieved King Tommen. Look out for Petyr Baelish... he started this whole thing to begin with by killing Jon Arryn. He is on his way to Winterfell with the entire army of the Vale. This will get really interesting... really quick.

The Dorne subplot was absolutely butchered up. Really sad to see one of my favourite characters, Doran, handled this way. I have to admit

Tristen's assassination was kinda funny though. Same for Jaime's arc. He's returning to being the same old Jaime, minus perhaps the pompusness. Though in light of what happened to Myrcella, I don't think that's outright OOC

Really loving Jon's arc now. Did anyone see the two red wing shaped bloodstains? :D

Dorne is just in the far south and isolated from the rest of Westeros. Its not actually on the other side of the Narrow sea.

I was super stoked for this episode, but after watching, left disappointed. Basically none of the main plot threads have advanced much. Jon's still dead, Deanerys is still captured, etc, etc. It's especially disappointing given that there's only like 14 more episodes left total since they're gonna cut the next two seasons down in length.

What are your predictions for next week?

More death. I really love how they are slowly introducing the flashbacks, and I wonder if they will all come through Bran. Any doubts that Tyrion is actually a Targaryen? Ramsey has fully transformed into the new Joffrey... if you didn't want him to die so far, you do now. It looks like Theon is on his way home, and he doesn't know about his new responsibilities yet. Something tells me it's not gonna be easy. Arya will rapidly become a master assassin, now that she understands that it's not about her.

Good show!

Oh happy dance! happy dance!  Jon isn't dead.  Now here's something that bugs me, he's been dad for quite a few hours, shouldn't he have gone white walker in that time?  I realize this isn't the walking dead, but I thought you needed to burn bodies quickly when you get that far north.  I'm hoping he is fully himself.

Tyrian rocks the dragons!  Yay!  I want to see him ride one.  Hubby wondered why the dragons don't just melt their chains, but I think they don't have enough lead to reach the chains with their breath.

The bastard of Bolton (forgot name):  everybody totally saw that coming.  I guess he's the new Joffrey, only smarter.  DAMMIT Lys just posted while I'm still writing this.

I'll just  say I agree with Lys all around, although not convinced Tyrian is a Targaryen.  He could be, but I'm still heavily influenced by the books which give no hint of that.

At this point I'm ready for someone to just spear every single sparrow and bake them in a pie.

Unlike the zombies we all know... it's not an infection that animates them, it's necromancy. I think the white walkers have to do something to make them rise. From my understanding, the Mad King had a flaming lust for Tyrion's mom. Tywin said to Tyrion that he can't prove that he is not his son. This tells me that there is truth to that. Three dragon heads on the sigil, three dragons, and three Targaryen's to ride them. Dany, Jon, and Tyrion.

I don't think the dragons can break the chains that Dany placed them in.

There have yet to be any walkers rising south of the wall. When the ancients built the wall to keep out the walkers, they presumably also put some form of magic into it so that it can also act as a barrier to the power of the walkers, which would also explain why he hasn't risen.

With Theon and events at the pike, they are finally coming back to something that seemed (until now) to have been missed out from the books. There is a very interesting artifact that may or may not be about to emerge (those that have read the books will know exactly what I mean) that could well shape a large part of the rest of the series, so I am quite excited about that story, and interested to see how it plays out.

one of the best episodes of the show by far.

Next week, pretty clear we're going to see:

- Jon Snow parents backstory

- Bolton's gift could be Rickon?

Lack of white walkers is really troubling here. I feel they're the arch enemy and have the least amount of screen time, the meta is weak here.
