And so it begins...

I can see how the kiosk would eliminate the cashier, but I haven't really figured out how these places are going to rid themselves of other workers.

I responded to this last night when you replied, but the forum was magically taken down before I was able to post.

There will be Managers and Assistant Managers to ensure the machines are stocked, working, and cash is banked. Customer satisfaction will be all that matters. Machines don't quit, don't take vacations, don't steal, don't file law suits, and don't need healthcare. Just when the Progressives believe they have Capitalists on the ropes, they suddenly discover they are only beating the shit out of themselves.

I'm stepping back for awhile to see what happens... I'm a strong believer in the 1st Amendment.

Firstly, Trump doesn't believe in the constitution one bit. There is one thing that underwrites the constitution without it it means nothing. It is more important than any "amendment" of bill of rights.

It is Rule of Law.

And Trump doesn't believe in the Rule of Law-we have seen that during his campaign. From day 1 when he wanted to start freezing assets without trial, to declaring he would force generals to obey orders he lacked the legal power to give.

If a government doesn't respect rule of law then all of the rest of it is just paper that you can use to start the inevitable bonfire.

Also Trump has declared himself anti-freedom of speech with his statement he wants to turn parts of the internet off (which isn't technically feasible, but the sentiment is concerning).

So it all looks great for the constitution if Trump wins.

Secondly America is not the most valuable thing ever. At this point in time it is the world's largest economy, but in the grand sweep of history I will take the design of the World Wide Web, done in an office at CERN, as the most valuable thing ever.

Lysistrata, what are Trump's economic plans?

Lysistrata, what are Trump's economic plans?

If elected I would say he will turn his empire over to his daughter. Looking forward to a President that boards Air Force One and feels like he's slumming it... but I jest. In all seriousness, I believe Donald Trump's plan is "whatever works"... and that is very refreshing from my perspective, because nothing has worked for a very long time.

But what IS this plan.

Lysistrata, what are Trump's economic plans?

To cut/raise taxes whilst massively cutting/hugely boosting public expenditure and eliminating/quadrupling national debt over 8 years.

But what IS this plan.

Probably the same as Obama's plan... which was "Hope and Change", "Change We Can Believe In", and "Yes We Can"... but ours will be more like... "Hope It's Not Too Late" and "Yes We Will".

I do know he will build the wall that Congress passed and George W. signed into law in 2006... but was never funded. He will enforce our immigration laws, which have been totally ignored. He will rebuild our military, which means fat contracts, lots of high paying jobs, and Unions love that. He will create more options for investors to make money... The Federal Reserve has shackled the rate to zero for Obama's entire Presidency... this artificially props up the Stock Market so stupid people think we're doing well. He will renegotiate trade deals, and I'm sure all his friends can't wait to build companies to make things again.

He will destroy ISIS. He will sign balanced budgets. He will stop wasting money all around the world. He will shut down all this insanity about the fake global warming sham. He will tap all sources of energy. He will remove all Government indoctrination from our public schools. He will protect our Constitution. He will protect our right to bear arms... and most satisfying... he will prosecute every fucking Obama criminal from Eric Holder to Hillary Clinton.

If he can do half of it... I will be one happy American.

If he can do half of it... I will be one happy American.

Half? If anyone could pull off a quarter of that, I'd be happy.

I've said it before, I'm going to say it again. I definitely cannot vote for a Democrat (take your pick, Killary or Bernie. One's a liar, the other will tax me, a fairly well educated person with a job, to death to provide to others "who are not as well off". Not my fault they didn't work their asses off in college to get a masters degree in engineering and a job. They made their choices, I made mine, now everyone has to live with them).

I don't like Trump, could be potentially brought over based on who his VP pick is. I don't think the first and second amendments to the Constitution will be in nearly as much jeopardy with him as President, compared to Hillary.

I will most likely be voting third party, again. Don't remember the last time I voted for a Democrat or Republican in the presidential election. I disliked Obama's policies. Might have been able to vote for McCain way back when, then he chose Palin as his VP, who came off as bat shit insane to me, killed any chance I would vote for him. Second round, again disliked Obama's policies. I don't remember what it was about Romney, but I disliked him almost as much.

This time, literally just looked on Wikipedia to see who the Green Party and Libertarians are putting up. At least there, it looks like the Libertarian front runner is Gary Johnson, former governor of New Mexico. Looks like I've got some research to do.

Look for Gary Johnson to become a major player after nominations have been determined. If he can share the debate stage with Clinton and Trump, it could possibly show enough contrast to make a difference. He would demonstrate sanity within a cesspool of negativity. If he polls strong enough, we may see a strong shift and possibly a new direction... but the main objective must remain to defeat Hillary Clinton.

That looks good on paper but how is he going to do this Lys? You've failed to mention a SINGLE policy for the bigot you're blindly voting for.

Well, in reality, I really don't care about specifics. All I want from a candidate is to know what he wants to do. That will tell me what I need to know. How much of it he is able to actually get done... is his problem, and will obviously be key to his reelection. The only reason you want to know is so you can pick it apart and hammer him with gotcha questions... but I can tell you how I would do it.

Enforcing Immigration Laws: You tell Attorney General Chris Christie to enforce the immigration laws... done.

Rebuild the Military: Do what Ronald Reagan did and issue Government contracts to rebuild the military... done

Create options for investors: Allow the Federal Reserve to increase the rate so our currency is worth more than paper... done

Renegotiate Trade Deals: Uh duh... you renegotiate the trade deals to benefit the USA... done

Destroy ISIS: Ask General David Patraeus to come to the Oval Office.

President Trump: "Thank you for coming General... Can you beat ISIS?"

General Patraeus: "Yes Sir, I can"

President Trump: "What do you need?"... done

Sign Balanced Budgets: Refuse to sign budgets that do not balance... done

Stop wasting money around the world: Stop wasting money around the world... done

Shut down the global warming sham: STOP PUSHING BULLSHIT!... done

Tap all sources of energy: Really? You don't know?... done

Remove Government indoctrination from our public schools: Stay out of our lives!... done

Protect the Constitution: Appoint strict Constitutional Judges and follow your oath... done

That covers your highlights... as for me being blind, I actually had laser eye surgery two weeks ago to remove a cataract and replace my lens to correct my sight. It's like someone just turned on a high definition TV and I can see better now than I have in my whole life, so I can see clearly who I will be voting for. The name calling is just your opinion.

The global warming scam.... Fuck sake.

I just see alot of business/politician speak, nothing new tbh.

And ignoring what is mostly domestic (I shall leave those to actual americans to discuss). You do know that the Federal Reserve, as so do many other national and pan-national financial institutions, keep a low interest rate is cause if is was pure market regulated, we would all be paying the banks to stash our cash (aka negative interest). Only certain govs are enjoying the "real market" numbers, some nort-west european nations are giving out bonds with negative interest rates, AND THEY ARE BEING SOLD!

The only one I had heard about was Japan. Hadn't heard how well the bonds were selling, just that Japan now had negative interest rates.

Ouch... that hurts. You were looking for a different answer? Maybe something you can sink your teeth into? Like maybe... "uh... I don't know, I just like Trump!" That answer would justify "uninformed"... but a bigot? Me? I just can't deal with all these negative vibes... I HAVE TO GO FIND MY SAFE SPACE!

oops... another "And so it begins" moment...

Unions are now demanding the AFL-CIO cut ties with "Climate Change" mega-donor Tom Steyer... it appears they are more concerned about feeding their families than global redistribution of wealth. Me thinks they're voting for Trump.

Oie, discuss idealology like adults. Lys has views, you have views. He's no more bigot than the rest of you. Act like men with a brain and form cohereant and logical arguments. If you want to sink to insults, go take that frustration out on a war, not Lys.

Continue.

You don't know any of Trump's policies and claim that anyone who has an opposing view is either wrong, a criminal, or hates their country. By definition that makes you both uninformed and a bigot.

Everything I've said thus far has been logical and coherent.

Actually, to be a bigot, one would have to be "intolerant toward those holding different opinions". I am more than willing to hear Lys out. However, if he's going to bash things that I stand for and claim they're wrong then follow up with nonsensical rhetoric, I don't want to hear it.

On the contrary. Most if not all you have posted have been purely reactionary. Most of which I see based entirely on emotional responses to things you feel differently about. Most of which attacks Lys instead of counter arguing the information he provides. Is he innocent of doing the same? No.

However, the instant IRON members start personally attacking one another on something as silly and pointless as politics, that's when you need to step back and take a breath.

In actuality my friend, if I was intolerant of your opinions, I would not entertain you with answers to your questions. I thought you might wish to know what I thought. It appears you are the one that is intolerant of my opinions, since the only opinion you have is that I am intolerant of your opinions. None the less, Dandy is a Dandy and I thank you for sticking up for me, but I have spent a lot of time alone dealing with people that are intolerant of my opinions.

Back to my friend here... the simple fact that you are in bed with my dead mother... speaks volumes.

I don't like either of them. I'm think I'm going to write in Bernie Sanders. Just because.

If you're going to write someone in at least write in Rubio..

If you're going to write someone in at least write in Rubio..

Good choice!
