How good is this kid? I've been following the NBA for 4-5 years now and I've never had so much jaw drops this season than all the other seasons combined...

My feelings towards him are mixed. He is an outstanding player, by far. You can't deny that part. In my opinion, He is the Derek Jeter of the NBA. An outstanding off-the-court person with remarkable skills on-the-court. I just feel he is too over-hyped. Jeter is by far my favorite baseball player, but even with him, he was fairly over-hyped as well. When every sports article is about Steph Curry or Golden State, day after day, week after week, all season, it makes you kind of get sick of hearing about it. At that note, the sport news way of handling Curry isn't Curry's fault, so to me he is still an outstanding player. I just wish ESPN and others would jump off the bandwagon every once in a while for a different subject. 

Steph Curry is one of the greatest shooters of this era and quite possibly NBA history. All the hype is deserved.

 

He won his second consecutive NBA MVP award this year unanimously. He is the only player in NBA history to do that. Just think about that for a second -- Lebron James hasn't done it; Michael Jordan never did it; Bill Russell never did it; Kareem Abdul-Jabar never did it; Magic Johnson never did it; Larry Bird never did it, etc. Having said that, the NBA today doesn't have the Hall of Fame caliber players playing all at once that each of those guy's had in their eras.

Seeing all the records that were broken this season, I think the hype is also well deserved.
