Who are you talking to (having auditory hallucinations)? And are you talking about a serial killer...?

Oh my someone who talks to thin air...

Shouldn't we all be serial killers. It's the reason why we're in this place.

As I read through Kevin's posts I actually have started to agree with him. It is in the scum's best interest to just hope that we all jump on a townie and then he will jump in and add the final vote. TOWNIE

While it is of course in the scum's interest that we lynch a townie, it is in the town's best interest that we lynch. We really need the information on D2.

Now EM is very pro lynch which as I see it is in the favor of the scum at this point. However, he also has a hint of cop because he is sticking up for Narsis and Kevin like he knows they are innocent. I say if there is a COP it may be EM.

Remeber that the cop hasn't done any investigations yet. He can only do one investigation each night and we haven't had any nights yet. Also, you should NOT post who you think is the cop. This information will only help the scum. I know you're new, but I think you should have thought of this yourself. Perhaps you were fishing for other opinions on who the cop might be.

Are serial killers enemies too for the townies?

Don't edit your posts! Yes, a SK is an enemy of the townies. A SK wins when he has eliminated all other players. So he is an enemy of both the town and all other scum.

I just edited to correct some misspelling and stuff.

I thought that the point was to have an opinion and therefore my deductions so far are just that my deductions.

However, I am still baffled the initial sentence.. "It was in this corridor where that one patient stood up from his bunk, and quietly unlocked the door.' Does this mean that the scum is trying to kill the others in the hospital or leaving the hospital to do it?

UNVOTE Kevin

That's just the WARDENZ BAKSTORI. You're looking too much into it.

Well, I'm fine with lynching either Kevin or sojo. Both look untownie. Kevin looks like a serial killer with his "I'm not a cop for sure" statement but somehow implying he has a power role while sojo just looks scummy with his irrational posts.

Hey, you! Yes, all of you! Even those in the straitjackets. Listen up!

VOTE COUNT

sojourner (2): Electric Mango, Falzis

KevinH (1): Sir Jesus

No Lynch (1): KevinH

Not Voting (9): Kaziocore, Aquinas, Narsis, junkahoolik, Theophilos, Nerau, Martino, Calderone, sojourner

With 13 alive, 7 is needed to lynch.

I'll check for inactivity and send prods TUESDAY EVENING, to allow for the weekend lull.

Deadline is THIS THURSDAY.

Kaziocore, please don't edit your posts.

FROM NOW ON, IF ANYONE EDITS THEIR POST, THEY WILL BE MODKILLED, REGARDLESS OF INTENT.

Sorry guys, but the rules have to be enforced. I understand you're new at the game, and until now I've let anyone who did it off with a warning not to do it again.

However, this post serves as a "Seriously, stop it."

If you have any queries about the game, feel free to PM me.

Kevin looks like a serial killer with his "I'm not a cop for sure" statement but somehow implying he has a power role

I am not a serial killer for sure.

Does this statement carry as much weight as the one saying I am not a cop?

i'm starting to regret joining a game with so many beginners...:P

ok so look at it this way:

No lynch:

Pros: possibly one less townie dies(assuming we do lynch a townie).

Cons: we gain little to no information whatsoever as to who is scum.

Lynch:

Pros: chance of hitting scum. we gain vote patterns to work off of in future days.

Cons: we may hit a townie.

at this point in the game we need information. no lynching will just increase the scums chance of winning. not just that but i've learned never to trust a powerrole to win the game. sure they can make it easier and can even cause a turning point...but in a closed set-up like this it's just too risky.

i agree with Martino.

Vote sojourner

I was looking through the Mafia Scum Wiki sight : Mafiascum and found a role that I have a strong belief may be in play, the psychiatrist. Mole takes pride in his Mafia games and would most likely match power roles to the scenario of the game. Here's the definition from the wiki page below:

The Psychiatrist is a type of Doctor that only appears in games with a Psychopath (the Serial Killer version). Every night, the Psychiatrist targets one person. If they target the Psychopath, the Psychopath is cured and becomes a regular Townie. If the Psychopath is cured or dies, then the Psychiatrist becomes an ordinary Doctor.

N.B. The name Psychiatrist may also be used for the Lie Detector role.

Basically the shrink can either cure a serial killer or his role could be used as a "lie detector". At night this person would be able to send 1 post to mole to see if what that person said is the truth or a lie.

I'm not role fishing. I'm pointing out something that may give the town a better chance to win.

Yeah I read that too. I'm betting Calderone's the serial killer for all the wack job posts he'd role-played (see his posts) or not.

I agree that the scenario probably has fitting roles.

I could envision orderlies, nurses, security, janitors, and visitors in a mental hospital.

It's the MSG Secure Hospital for the Criminally Insane (MSGSHCI). Does MSG stand for MoleStarGazer or MonoSodium Glutonate?

The first one.

ok stop Role WIFOMing. vote vote people!!

Is not voting any different than voting no lynch? Not really, unless a majority votes for no lynch then the day can end early.

With Sojourner having the most votes at the moment, there will be a few misguided souls who pile on "because we have to lynch somebody".

There's only a 25% chance that Sojourner is scum. (Misunderstanding the cop role is not a very strong scum-tell in my opinion.)

The scum would love to have one less townie. Will they get their way? Or will we coast into the deadline without a lynch?

Note that at deadline, only a half majority is required to lynch so that would be 4 votes by my count.

didn't know about the 4 votes required at the deadline. thanks for the info, i hope it's good. anyway, enough with the lynch/no lynch discussion. it's not really productive. please either vote, state your opinion on who you think is scum or some similar stuff... thank you!! :P

Prods are being sent to:

Sir Jesus

Calderone

EDIT:

Calderone does not appear to exist. His account's gone. He will be replaced.

EDIT2:

Apparently, Calderone now goes under the name Dick Winters. I've sent a PM off asking him if he still wants to play.

hmmm...time for some scumhunting:

just a little clearing up but why so hard on sojourner? he's new to the game and may not fully understand how cop roles work. i think it would warrant an explanation at worst(as you gave) but no reason for an FoS or vote. the same goes to junk and anyone else on the sojourner wagon.

I don't think I have enough evidence to lynch anyone at this time.

Like what was previously stated, i don't want to bandwagon onto Sojourner just for the sake of lynching someone. I understand the obvious errors, inconsistencies and irrationality of some of his posts but, there is nothing that to me screams scum. Yes, these may be convincing and if something a little more concrete comes out in which a contradiction is so strong as to his strategy or vote pattern I'd be more convinced to lock in my vote.

Martino is also under some suspect although I believe he could clear up the statements he was called out on. He's in the thread right now so he may have even posted while I am writing this. Martino seems to be playing a little scummy when it comes to bandwagon on people. I think it would be a good idea to look back on some of his posts dealing with KevinH and see if he had a similar attitude during that discussion.

Finally, I looked through a few of Falzis' posts. In many of them he he calling for voting or some other rash action rather than discussion, at least as of late. I wouldn't raise a finger of suspicion or even a nod but, its something I'll keep in mind. I know for a good while he was just looking for people to post with him. His post count is probably high, I don't know exactly what to make of this except that it may be a way to get people riled up and vote. Overall however, I get good feelings from him and I don't suspect i'll be needing to vote for him any time soon. I might just be groveling for scum tells by this point...

Oohh there's a 7.1 rule... hmm now that changes my thinking.

I like how Electric Mango and Aquinas posts their townie vibes. If they're getting a good feeling on me, and telling people about it, and I know I'm a townie, I'm getting good vibes from them too. Scum don't usually do town / scum readings especially on the first day so I'm picking up good signals from them.

I'm tempted to vote for Kevin since I'm really more convinced that a No Lynch on Day 1 is more beneficial to scum than town (I trust Mafia Wiki more sorry Kev hahaha).

If you want to know why, I read there that mafia chances of winning increase with each No Lynch based on statistics (I'm not as sure on the explanation, maybe because of the lack of voting patterns and scum tell info).

But I'll stick to sojo for the meantime, my gut is telling me to stick with it for now. If he dies, more food to ration for everyone (I actually only care about more food for me)! MUAHAHA

You know, I just thought about it. Why are people having a hard time to commit to vote? It's not just Kevin. A lot of the people here have been saying how it is more beneficial to lynch on D1 yet they keep on dragging their feet and remain silent on their choice to lynch. It's almost deadline. What more discussion do we need (if that will be your excuse)?

It's looking quite fishy for me the people who can't commit even a gut feel vote. With 13 pages of posts you'd imagine they would get a feel on anybody already.

Is it you don't want to vote because you don't want to be suspected or be tracked with your voting pattern? Or you think that you can let a lynch go by without actually placing a vote (coz of the half majority rule if no majority) thereby flying under the radar?

Vote already people. Show your cards... if you're not insane. :)

I'm getting a deja vu. I thought this was a hospital, not the Matrix. Urgh my head hurts.

Vote for anybody Narsis if as you said it's better to lynch than to not lynch. -.-
